Olivia Howard’s house, we agreed, was just too far from town for a party.
Spinnaker proposed a deal: forty bucks a head to cover expenses, an additional twenty to be held as collateral until after cleanup, and we had to be out by eight o’clock. In exchange: a four-hour pool party that Akash would invite Lucy Vale to attend. Conditions were as follows: no alcohol, weed, or illegal substances; no song requests or manipulation of the playlist; Meeks would DJ.
