“Tell me exactly what the doc said.”

I blink at him, trying to process how calm he looks, like this is any other night and not my life unraveling.

“She said I’m three weeks along. Bloodwork confirmed it. They gave me some vitamins.” I swallow hard. “That’s about it.”

His thumb brushes over my cheek. “And you’re keeping it?”

I nod slowly. “Yeah. I want to. It’s just… the timing, you know?”

“Yeah.” He takes my hand, lacing his fingers through mine. “But you don’t have to figure all this out tonight, right?”

Tears sting my eyes, but I blink them back, nodding again. “Yeah.”

There’s a pause, and I can see him swallow, his throat bobbing. I brace myself because Iknowwhat’s coming.

“Do you know who the father is?”

There it is. The question I’ve been dreading. My chest tightens, but I force myself to answer.

“No.” My voice wavers, and I hate it. “I’ve slept with… with Beau, you, and Mason.”

Kieran blinks once, then again. He doesn’t flinch, doesn’t recoil. “Okay.”

“Okay?” My voice rises, and I lean back, staring at him. “What are you thinking?”

He grins, this lopsided, infuriating thing. “Nothing, just… I knew Mason and Beau shared women sometimes. Never really thought about joining in, but the idea’s kind of—” He stops himself, shaking his head. “Shit, it’s making me hard.”

My jaw drops. “You’re not mad?”

“Why would I be?” He runs a hand through his hair, making it stand up in messy spikes. “Daisy, I knew you were fucking irresistible from the start. If you’re not freaking out, why the hell would I?”

I stare at him, my mind spinning, but he’s just sitting there, looking at me like I’m the only thing that matters.

My throat tightens for a completely different reason this time, and before I can overthink it, I lean across and kiss him. It’s quick, but it’s enough to settle something inside me.

“I’ll tell the others tomorrow,” I say, pulling back.

“You want me there?”

I blink at him, surprised. “You’d come with me?”

“Damn right, I would.” His tone is firm, but there’s this softness in his eyes. “I’ll follow you anywhere.”

“Can you follow me home?” The words slip out before I can stop them.

“You want me to?”

“Yeah.”

“Okay.” He leans closer, his voice dropping. “And just so you know, I’m all fucking in. With all of it.”

For the first time all day, the pressure in my chest eases a little. We finish eating in this comfortable silence, and when we walk out to the parking lot, he’s right there, his hand brushing mine like it’s second nature.

The night air’s cool, and the buzz from the game still hangs in the air, people laughing and shouting in the distance.

When we get to the car, I hesitate. “What about your bike?”

He chuckles, opening the passenger door for me. “I’ll text someone to keep an eye on it until I can pick it up.”
