Unknown Time
When Poe woke up, he was with a bunch of different men. All of them were dressed like commandos, and he knew he was fucked.
More importantly, if he was, then so was Gamble. They had both been caught off guard, and betrayed by his father’s friend.
He had to figure out a way to survive, and get back to Gamble.
AGAIN.
Oh, Poe really hoped that this didn’t end badly, and he could pull this off one more time.
His gut said Gamble was in far more danger.
Oh, and he knew why.
By now, Von would know that his scouts didn’t make it far, and he’d want Gamble to pay.
So, he began praying.
When the one guy saw him awake, he nudged him with his foot.
“Have a nice sleep, Doctor?” he asked.
As far as he was concerned, this man could fuck all the way off. If he could find an ax, then he was going to definitely show him how he rolled.
“Absolutely. I love being drugged at a memorial party for my parents. Way to desecrate a moment.”
He laughed.
“Well, if it makes you feel any better, you get it a lot easier. Your gay lover is in a world of pain right now. They should be removing his fingers, toes, eyes, and tongue. The two men we left him with are sadistic fucks.”
At his words Poe got sick to his stomach.
He didn’t know how to make this right, or to save Gamble. That was out of his realm, and if his husband died, Poe prayed that he would too.
He couldn’t recover from this.
“What do you want?” he asked.
The man crouched down.
“We need that crypto key, and since it’s nowhere to be found, the only place left is with your brother. So, we’re digging him up. By we, I mean you. We have all night. Your party hasbeen disbursed. The Duke of Norfolk was nice enough to handle that for us. Von wants us to keep you alive as long as you help us. We wanted to kill you, but...”
Poe stared at him.
“And if I refuse to defile my brother’s grave?” he asked.
He pulled out his phone.
“Then, we can sit here and listen to that nice Marine suffer for as long as he can hold on as they skin him and wait for him to die. Then, I shoot you in the head right afterward so we can dig up your brother. See, Doctor? There’s no need to make this difficult.”
Poe had tears in his eyes.
When he said nothing more, the mercenary smiled.
“I thought so. Spread out, men, just in case the Marine in the dungeon happens to escape. Shoot to kill.”
He tossed Poe a shovel.
