An.

Angry.

One.

Whatever was lurking wasn’t happy. They’d stirred it up, and now, it was roaming free.

Maybe it would level out.

Because he was tired.

Sadly, he’d promised Gryphen he’d make it to his wedding, but with each passing day, it was more difficult to hold on.

Graham didn’t want to do this anymore, and he didn’t mean staying in the castle.

The old lass was perfect, and he loved taking care of her, but his broken heart was the problem.

It was consuming him.

Only, he had to put it aside. The love train had left the station, and it was never coming back. For now, he had to prepare for their next visitors.

And Graham couldn’t wait.

He’d spoken to Callen earlier, and the man had warned him.

Oh, not about Gabby, from what he said, she was an angel.

She wasn’t the issue.

Who was?

Well, that would be Anthony Magnus, and apparently, he was going to need a full-time babysitter.

Sign.

Him.

Up.

It might just take his mind off of things.

Apparently, the man coming to look at the remains in the crypt was a little impulsive and tended to get himself into trouble.

That sounded like the kind of person he’d call a friend. Meeting him might be interesting.

As for managing a wild card...

Well, he’d been a Black Watch soldier, and trained for the worst-case scenario.

Impulsiveness he could handle.

Recklessness he could handle.

Love…

That he couldn’t handle.

Glancing at his watch, he wanted to make sure he had time.
