When I left my sister’s shop I was true to my word and took Adonis to grab some stuff. That included a few short sets and several pairs of shoes he actually liked. Once we were done at the mall, I dropped my brother off at his bike and decided to go toward the crib.
“Rennix.” I heard Adonis call my name from the back seat over the music.
I reached over and turned the music down. “Yeah, Lil G?”
“Mommy said we moving. Why are we moving?”
“Because I want y’all to live with me.”
“Why?”
“Why not? You don’t wanna live at my house?” I asked, peeking at him through the mirror.
“I don’t know how your house looks and what if it’s small? Mommy’s house is big. And I don’t have a bedroom at your house.”
I nodded. “What if I have your room designed? And we’ll go to my house tonight so you can pick out which room you want and what you want in it?”
“Okay. And can we eat pizza and watch movies there?” He looked truly puzzled.
“Yeah, as long as you know I ain’t watching that movie no more, Adonis. At this point you probably know the damn lines.” I shook my head thinking about how many times he had watchedLilo and Stitch.
He laughed. “Do you have a pool? My mommy said the next time we moved she’d think about a pool.”
I laughed. “How about we see when we get there tonight, Lil G.”
“Okay.”

Chapter 12
Caya
When I got off today, the last thing I wanted to do was pack bags for Adonis and me to go to Rennix’s place, but I did it in less than an hour and even fell my tired ass asleep during the ride. I was dog tired and Rennix knew it, so he let me sleep until we got to the house. Seeing the genuine awe on my baby’s face while Rennix gave him the tour was everything. It made my heart beam. My baby was happy and now I had to finish this move, because I could hear him now asking me when we’d go to the other house at the most random times. First I had Mr. Intentional Firestarter and now I was gonna have my little broken record. I didn’t go on the entire tour with them, meaning I for sure missed the pool part because my baby was gonna whine to get in that pool tonight. I ended up ordering pizza and giving the most precise instructions of my being before taking a seat on the sofa and closing my eyes for a spell.
“You fine than a motherfucker in your sleep. Like even though you sound like a bear in hibernation, you look like you deserve to get your pussy eaten.”
My eyes popped open and I sat up, not realizing how fast I had fallen asleep, or what this man had just said to me. “I do not sound like a bear.”
“The fuck you do. As a matter of fact you sound like seventy-two in need of a good tune.”
I sucked my teeth. “Remember which one of us needed the nasal strips.”
“And remember both of us used those motherfuckers. C’mon, let’s go take a shower.” He extended his hand for me to take.
“Um no. Adonis is still up and I ordered pizza.”
“I ain’t on nothing. Just let me take care of you, baby mama.”
I looked at him skeptically for a moment before I put my hand in his and let him pull me to my feet. Then he forced my body against his and pressed a kiss to my forehead. His entire everything made my heart full. Rennix was a dream, the type of man who made you feel his love and attention. He made me feel him in a way I had never felt anyone.
When we stepped into the bathroom, the water was already on, causing steam to fill the mostly glass room. He had the main light off and just the lights near the mirror on. He hated my pitch black showers while they made me feel like I could think clearly.
When we entered, he stopped me and ducked his head to kiss my lips, grabbing the hem of my shirt from the bottom. He lifted it, helping me out of it. Then he dropped it onto the counter. His hands were then in the waistband of my underwear and leggings before he peeled them down as well. They were pooled at my feet before he told me to step out.
