“Why?” My brows furrow.
“Because I told them one day, I’d be stealing their girl since they’ve done it to me one too many times.”
My eyes widen. “Oh,” I whisper. She’s into women.
“Yeah, baby doll.” She laughs. “Don’t worry, I won’t actually hit on you.” She wiggles her eyebrows. “Unless you want me to.”
“Thanks.” I laugh. “And if I was into women, you would totally be my type.”
“Why thank you, baby.” She kisses me on the cheek. “Now, let’s get shit-faced.”
She drags me into the bar. Sophia and her husband, Marshall are already there on the dance floor. He has his arm aroundher possessively. My heart clenches at the way they look at each other. Pure and utter love and devotion. I want that, I crave that.
I just want someone to love me, to cherish me. I don’t want to have to be forced to marry some guy my parents choose. I only have one life, is it worth wasting it with someone who I don’t love? Someone who only wants me because of my money or the power my last name can bring them?
God, I need a fucking drink.
“Hadley, get me drunk.”
“You got it, babe.” She laughs.
An hour later, I’m pretty tipsy. But, I’m having a good time. Marshall let Sophia out of his hold long enough so that we could have a few dances. He’s been at the back of the bar, watching her like a hawk as he talks to his brother, Carson.
“Where are your brothers?” I ask Hadley. I’ve been keeping an eye out for them all night but nothing.
“They should be around here somewhere. I know they came down to help Gerald unload a big shipment for the bar.”
“Oh.” I’m not going to lie, I’m pretty disappointed. They asked me out tonight, only not to be here. But I get it, they’re helping someone out. They’re busy.
Maybe it’s just the alcohol, making me a little moody. “I gotta pee,” I tell her. “Where are the bathrooms?”
“Just back there, through that open door, down the hall, all the way at the end and to the left. The ones closer are being renovated. Thank Marshall and Sophia for that one.” Hadley shoots her sister-in-law a naughty grin.
“I said I was sorry,” Sophia groans.
“What happened?” I laugh.
“Marshall followed me to the bathroom. Let’s just say things got hot and heavy. And well, he meant to take me against the bathroom sink, but ahh, he sat me on top of it.”
“And fucked her so hard the thing broke and flooded both bathrooms.”
“Oh my god.” I can’t help but laugh.
“We paid for it,” she says defensively. “But god, that was one of the best orgasms I’ve ever had.”
“One thing you gotta know about them two: they will fuck anywhere. We’ve walked in on them more than once.”
“It’s like it’s the twins’ mission to catch us every time,” Sophia mutters.
“Like you make it hard for them to do it.” Hadley laughs.
I leave the two of them and head for the bathrooms. Three drinks and two shots seem to be my bladder’s limit.
Turning the corner, I walk down the long hall. When I get to the end, I can’t remember if it’s left or right.
I take a right and hope I’m going the right way. “Sorry, Amy.” My brows furrow when I hear Wyatt’s voice.
I pause at an open door. The twins are there in the back of the bar next to a truck. Both of their shirts are off and my mouth can’t help but water. Then I see a few women standing next to them. A pretty blonde in short shorts and a crop top brushes her hand along his toned arms. “Come on. One dance.” She pouts. “Please.”
