The spiced pecan scent surrounding me flavors the taste. Fuck, he’s a good kisser. The thought makes a growl of jealousy slip free, and Harrison chuckles like he knows exactly what I’m thinking.

“Feeling possessive, Little Omega?”

I nod because there’s no point denying it. His lips are full and soft as they claim mine. Harrison kisses like it’s all he’s ever wanted. It steals my breath to be held like this. To be wanted this fucking badly. When his tongue slips between my lips, I let out a needy mewl.

“I’ve got you, Lila. Give in to me, and I’ll give you everything you need.” His vow rocks through my system like a drug, and I gasp as he grinds his hardness up into my center.

I’m so lost in the haze that is Harrison that I forget where we are, until the lights click on, and the door swings open. Harrison growls as Wes walks in, chuckling. Still shirtless. Still sexy as fuck. He’s the alpha I know the least about, but the truth is, after all these years, I don’t know any of them that well. I never did.

“Bravo, Little Omega. You freed the feral alpha. Your reward is ice cream.” Wes crosses his arms over his chest as Harrison reluctantly lowers me to my feet. “That you get to lick off of my abs.”

“Can I have a bowl and spoon instead?”

“Boo.” Wes pouts, but winks at me, and I think that means he’s only teasing me. “Come on, love birds.”

“We need to talk,” Harrison grunts, and I watch Wes nod once before turning and walking out the door.

“Am I missing something?” I ask, glancing up at Harrison, who looks slightly tense.

“Just the love of your life, but I’m here now.” He wraps his arm over my shoulder and leads me out the door.

Whatever he’s not telling me isn’t something he feels like sharing yet, so I let it go. Either he’ll tell me eventually, or he won’t. I have a feeling I might already know, though.

The sensation of being watched all week. The way Wes knew my favorite sandwich.

The fact that I’ve been locked in an Escape room with Harrison and his pack.

I’m not saying they were stalking me, but…well fuck, I think they might have been stalking me…

Chapter 9

Lila

“Oh, pistachio, my favorite,” I say, as I see the small pint. “It’s even my favorite brand,” I add, glancing up and looking from one alpha to the next. Wes, like last time, glances at River. Harrison looks slightly clueless, but River? He holds my stare, lifting his brow. Daring me to say it. Daring me to accuse him.

We made it back to the kitchen, where they had the ice cream waiting on the counter.

“I’m thirsty, River,” I say instead, holding his stare. The corner of his lip lifts, and he nods slowly.

“Are you? Well, I haveDoctor Thunder,” he offers, tilting his head. “Or would you prefer Twist Up?” His smile is a challenge, and I scoff.

“I like both. Surprise me.”

“Well, Doctor Thunder has caffeine, and some people like a little pick-me-up in the afternoons, but prefer caffeine-free with dinner,” River says, as he opens the fridge and pulls out a can of Doctor T.

“Interesting. I happen to be one of those people.” I nod, taking the can from the alpha as he returns to his seat beside me. “What are your favorite drinks?” I ask the guys, but hold River’s stare.

“I like everything.” Wes shrugs.

“I prefer coffee, but settle for whatever's available in the afternoons,” Harrison adds, ignoring his bowl of rocky road in favor of watching me.

“And you, River?” I lift my brow, not sure where this is going, but I know for damn sure I’m not backing down now.

“Water, Sprite, and black coffee. Used to survive off energy drinks, but they fuck with my heart rate,” he says as he takes a large spoonful of vanilla between his lips.

“I do remember seeing you with a can every morning back in school,” I nod, taking a bite of my dessert. “Since we’re on the subject of favorites, what's everyone’s favorite color?”

“Blue,” Harrison and Wes say at the same time that River says black.
