I thanked him and showed him to the sitting area. He laid out quite a spread on the table. I signed the bill, adding a hefty tip, and thanked him. Abra groaned from under the blankets.

“What is that heavenly smell? Babe, did you get bacon? God, I fucking love it that you bring me bacon in the mornings!”

The server looked shocked, blushed, and practically ran for the door. He shut it quietly behind him, giving me a moment to sneak up on her.

“Good morning. Would you like to be fed breakfast in bed, or would you like to serve as my dining platter?” I asked.

Abra peeked her face out and beamed at me.

“Hi,” she said shyly. “You okay? I was watching you sit there. Are you in pain?”

“A bit. That’s why I ordered breakfast. I need to eat before I can take some medicine. Then I need to work out. I thought maybe you could join me or take some time to relax and get pampered. Either way, I’m okay, just thinking.”

Abra sat up and rubbed at her face. Her hair was all over the place. She looked so cute like that…then the sheet fell, along with my stomach.

“Need food before we talk.” She crawled out of bed, shuffled to the bathroom, and shut the door hard.

I chuckled to myself and uncovered my plate.

I wasn’t going to wait. I know that might have been rude, but I really needed to eat something, take my meds, get my body moving, and then spend the rest of the day enjoying Abra however she’d let me.

She came back a few minutes later, picked up my shirt off the floor, and pulled it over her head. It draped over her and hung almost to her knees. She shuffled over, hesitated in front of me, and then plopped down in my lap.

“Which one is for me?” she asked while yawning.

“Whatever you want,” I said, uncovering her plate.

She gasped at the waffles. “Omigod! That is too precious! I get to eat Smiley Sunny for breakfast!” She slammed her fork between his eyeballs and lifted the whole waffle up. She dipped it in the carafe of syrup and took a big bite out of his head. “Mmmm, Sunny, you are delicious!”

I cracked up and tried not to choke on my whole-wheat toast. I’d ordered that, an egg white omelet with spinach, and some fruit. Abra’s plate had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, two Sunny heads, and some fruit. She speared a strawberry from my plate with her fork and put it between her lips. She leaned in close to me and nudged my lip with it. I snaked my tongue out and stole it from her, along with her breath. She gazed down at my mouth while I chewed and she licked her lips. As soon as I swallowed she leaned in to kiss me.

“I think you taste better than Smiley Sunny. Mind if I eat you?”

I laughed and wrapped my arms around her waist, pulling her in close.

“I would like that,” I whispered against her neck. “But no rush. We have all the time in the world.”

She raised an eyebrow at me and smirked. “I’m going to assume it’s your morning persona and not my lack of sex appeal that brought you to make that statement.”

“You lack nothing, Abra. In fact, waking up next to you this morning was heaven. I almost woke you up in a more physical way, but then I figured you might not appreciate being mauled first thing without having some breakfast meat first.”

I prayed that would fix the situation. In no way did I not find her attractive. Her expression told me I still had some work to do to reassure her. How could she even question how I’d been feeling about her?

“Good grief! I’ve been trying to stifle my, ahem, enthusiasm the entire time I’ve been next to you. I just don’t want to be a total, well, horndog.”

She burst out laughing and stood from my lap to sit in the chair facing me.

“Horndog? That’s precious,” she said with a little shake of her head. She pulled her legs up inside my T-shirt and bit off a piece of bacon. “Horndog. Okay, Mr. Graham. Tell me this. Are you having second thoughts about becoming intimate with me?”

I groaned. “Gosh, no! Abra, doll, I am just trying to…crumb! I don’t want to be pawing all over you, for crying out loud.I want you! Man, I want you. I just want more.” I froze. Had I said too much? Oh, no. But to my surprise, after her eyes grew wide, that shy smile was back.

“More?”

I nodded, grateful she didn’t freak out. She stared at me for a minute, and then dug back into her breakfast.

“I find your stance on the issue surprising, but most appreciated. I too would like more of you, Mr. Graham. What do you think of that?”

“I think,” I said, wiping my mouth with a napkin, “that can be arranged. Tell me, Ms. Mora, how would you like us to spend this day in The Coolest Place on the Planet?”
