I appreciate your care, Omega.

I’ll pick something up and bring it for dinner at your place tonight.

Anything they can’t eat?

Oh one has to eat gluten free

No problem, gluten-free food isn’t an issue

Any other suitors I should be aware of?

Suitors? That word gives me the heebie jeebies lol. No, it’s just the three of you.

Then I’ll see you tonight.

Oh, and Omega?

Yes…?

Thank you for being honest with me.

Well, now I feel like shit for the secrets I’m keeping from him.

With that, my resolve is solidified.

Tonight, I tell my two Alphas and the Beta who has unknowingly helped me heal from my pain for four years the truth.

And I hope they think I’m worth the danger.

TWENTY-FOUR

“¿Tres bandejas paisa?”the woman at the counter asks.

“Si, con bastante chicharrón, y quatro empanadas, unos pan de bonos, y dos arepas de choclo.”

“Es solamente usted.”

I glare at her. I come in here often enough, and I know they’ve never seen me with anyone, but, damn, does she need to call me out like that? I exhale sharply, knowing what will happen after I tell her why I need so much food.

“Es por mi Omega y manada.”

It’s for my Omega and pack.

It feels weird to say out loud that I have a pack when I haven’t even met the other Alpha, and who knows if anything will come of the Beta, but it feels good, too.

Of course, she begins to coo and fawn over me like a proud tia, fluttering around and adding more pastries and breads to my bag than the four of us could eat in a week.

Twenty minutes later, with my arms full of bags of delicious food, I use the toe of my sneaker to “knock” on Crystal’s door.

As it opens and she fills the frame, my heart actually skips a beat. She’s wearing tight black jeans that hug her thighs and a slinky black top that hangs off one of her shoulders. Her hair looks like she touched up the dye today, the purple and blue vibrant, the pink at her roots crisp, and she’s got a small amount of makeup on her eyes. It’s just enough to give her a slight feline look.

I am a lucky Alpha, indeed.

“Come in!” she says warmly, taking a step back. “Wow, do you think you got enough food?”

I snort out a laugh as I lay the bags on top of her table. “I made the mistake of telling the woman at the restaurant that I had an Omega and a pack now. After seeing me eating there alone for five years, I suppose she got a little excited about the development.”

It sounds pathetic when I say it out loud, but that’s the reality.
