“Nope. This is the last one.” That familiar energy rushed through me at how close we were standing, and the urge to feel his mouth on mine was getting hard to push away.

“We should go before Frank catches us,” he said.

“Okay.”

But neither of us moved.

Before I could take a step closer, he took his hand away and headed toward the car.

“Hey, Lucas.” I tossed him the keys and cracked a smile to ease the tension. “I’d sleep with one eye open tonight if I were you. I still owe you for that marker stunt you pulled earlier.”

“Good luck with that. I’m a light sleeper.”

I opened the car door. “And I’m a pro.”

“Game on.”
