I can’t helpthe triumphant grin that’s likely to be permanently etched across my face when Sydney comes down from another intense orgasm. I mean… I did that… and I’m damn proud of my efforts. Last night, her orgasm went on and on and this morning, I had every intent of replicating it.
When the last of her quakes finish, I crawl up her body to hold her once again. I’ve never actually stayed the night with a woman before. Sure… it took me forever to actually sleep, due to the raging case of blue balls, but hands down, it is worth every ounce of pain to wake up with her like this today.
As I pull her fully sated body against mine, I wrap my arms around her like she’s meant just for me. Nuzzling my chin into the crook of her neck, I whisper, “Good morning.”
I feel her laugh before I hear it. “If that’s your idea of a wakeup call, I volunteer as tribute for repeats.”
“I’m sure that can be arranged.” I shrug it off as if she didn’t just rock my world, too. “Though truth be told. You’re the first person I’ve ever stayed the night with.” I have no idea why the truth spills out. But I guess if I think about it, I’d rather she knows the truth.
Her tone is playful as she sighs, “Ahhh… so you’re a love ‘em and leave him guy, are ya?”
“Nope… can’t say that I am,” I admit with another truth.
Sydney doesn’t say anything, she just flips over to face me and leans against my bare chest. Her leg intertwines with mine as she takes a moment to find comfort.
Not trusting myself, I slept in my jeans last night, so I’m sure the denim’s scratchy on her delicate skin. But as she worms her way closer to my side, I’m not certain she cares.
“You okay, Syd?” I ask when she stills and doesn’t say anything for an unusual amount of time.
“Just enjoying this moment,” she whispers, then sucks in a deep breath and moans on an exhale. “You smell so good…”
Really? I haven’t showered since before the game, and I slept in my clothes.
“Okay…” I laugh lightly, still in shock at her words. “If you say so…”
“I do. I can’t get enough of you. I want to take your scent and turn it into a candle for when you’re not here.” Suddenly, her body tenses, and she mutters, “Wait… forget I said that…” She burrows her head into my chest so I can’t see her expression.
“Syd?” I ask, trying to gain her attention.
When she finally peeks my way, her beautiful freckles nearly disappear with the heat that rushes to her face. Before I can question her further, her words gush out. “It must be the sex-induced coma you put me into last night…. I blame that for sounding creepy.”
“You were pretty comatose last night,” I tease. “But I think I get it. I couldn’t get enough of your taste last night… I mean… look at how I couldn’t keep my hands off you this morning.”
“Vince… you willneverhear a complaint from me with a wakeup call like that. You’re way better than any alarm I’ve ever had.”
“I’ll be sure to remember that,” I tease as I draw lazy circles up and down her back.
God, she feels amazing, and I can’t stop myself from touching her.
A few minutes later, I hear her stomach rumble with hunger and when I look at the clock, I realize it’s later than I thought. “What do you say to breakfast out today?”
“What?” She feigns shock and adds, “You don’t cook?”
“I’ll have you know… I cook nearly every morning… so I’d like a day off… thank you very much. My only request—as good as it is, we avoid the diner. I love my sister more than anything, but I’d rather keep you to myself than share you just yet.”
“I get it. If I got up and cooked you breakfast here, I’d potentially have to share you with my roommates. Can we just stay in our bubble for a while longer?”
I nod in agreement as I push back the covers. “I think I know just the place.”
We end up at a small mom and pop restaurant just outside of town along an old country road. The place is busy, but thankfully, we’re able to score a booth before the crowd sets in. We’ve placed our orders, and Sydney’s sipping on a fresh cup of coffee while we wait.
“You mentioned Julia was with a friend last night. How did you manage that?”
“One of her friends from daycare also happens to have a parent who’s a close friend of Vanessa. She and her husband offered to watch her when they found out CRU was going for another championship title. Julia’s only stayed the night one other time, but it was amazing for them to offer.”
I laugh at the memory of that experience. “Van was a wreck the entire time because Julia’s only stayed with family. We were prepared for her to come home in the middle of the night or something, so we slept with our ringers on full blast just in case. But nope. That’s not Jules. She basically waved us off from the moment she left the car and begged to stay the night again as soon as possible when we picked her up.”
