I picked up my phone and made some arrangements.

That evening I’d cooked an early dinner and there was no mention of the text message. The anticipation had Lauren on tenterhooks and I loved that. The tease, the anticipation, the arrangements that aroused me the most. I’d walked around work with a hard-on all fucking afternoon, knowing what I did.

“So, did you do anything exciting today?” she asked, sitting at the kitchen table.

“Just the usual, I didn’t hear back from Alex so I’m assuming there’s nothing to report yet.”

“Oh,” she said, then smiling. “I spoke to Mum, she said that she and Reenie have decided to take a holiday, a cruise. I was hoping she’d come here for a bit.”

“A cruise sounds good. Do you know with which cruise line?”

“I don’t, I’m sure she’ll tell me.”

“Upgrade them, let them have a great experience. Your mom hasn’t had the chance of a vacation for years, make is special,” I said, sitting beside her.

“I was thinking the same thing,” she said.

I checked my watch and then silently, I took her hand. I pulled her into a standing position and looked her over. Satisfied with her attire, I led her to the front door.

“Mackenzie?” she asked, and then chuckled. I imagine she knew what was about to happen.

I didn’t speak to her all the way to the club. I punched in my code at the gate and it swung open for me. I left my car on the drive for the valet to park.

“Mackenzie, Lauren. I’m sorry to hear about your brother,” Veronica said. She had opened the front door.

“Thank you,” Lauren replied.

“I’d suggest you make yourself comfortable in the bar. I’ll let you know when you’re needed,” Veronica said.

“Needed?” Lauren asked and I wondered if that had confused her, I hoped so.

I placed an order for a glass of wine and a whiskey over ice. Lauren sat on a barstool in a room already half full. The tinkle of laughter and cutlery on china suggested the dining room was also full.

“Are we…?” she started, and I placed my fingers over her lips.

She sipped her wine and I stared at her. “I can see you change,” she whispered, and her voice took on a husky tone.

“Good,” I replied.

There were times when I loved to dominate my wife, to have her exceed her perceived limits, and take her to heights she’d never explored before. There were times I liked to revisit experiences that had her screaming out my name. This however, would be a first for her and my excitement was mounting.

Veronica returned with a small paper bag, she handed that to me, with a key.

“Bring your wine,” I said, sliding from my stool.

Lauren smiled as we made our way to the sweeping oak staircase. She ran her hand along the cool wood as she took each step up. She paused on the landing, allowing me to guide her and smiled when she arrived at a room.

“My heart is racing,” she whispered.

“Turn around now if you don’t want to do this,” I said, she shook her head.

I opened the door and allowed her to walk in first. The room had changed since we’d last visited the club. Instead of the St. Andrew’s Cross there was a square frame, the rack it had been called, that was suspendedfrom the ceiling. She walked toward it and frowned. She ran her hands over the stainless steel and I watched her.

“Don’t speak unless I tell you,” I whispered. “No names.”

Already I could see her hands shake a little. She turned to face me. I dipped my hand into the bag and pulled out an ornate lace mask. I placed that over the top half of her face and tied it securely. I placed a similar one on myself.

“Naked,” I commanded. She slowly undressed. I told her to leave her shoes on. For what I planned for her, I needed height.
