Devyn.

I clenched my jaw but didn’t miss a beat. She was standing near the bar, looking like she was trying to make a statement in the short dress she wore. She walked over like she was floating.

“Legend,” she smiled, slow and sultry.

“Devyn,” I said flatly.

“Didn’t know you were bringingcompany.”Her eyes flicked over to Honey, then back to me. She smiled tightly. “Hi, I’m Devyn Marks. You’re gorgeous.”

I watched as Honey smiled and extended her hand. “Honey Lake. I’m well aware.”

Devyn’s face cracked for a split second, and I could tell she wanted to say more, but I wasn’t for all that bullshit. “Excuse us, Devyn,” I reached for Honey’s hand, and guided her toward the table where I dapped up my partners.

The table stretched under the stars like a scene out of a high-budget fantasy—crystal and candlelight, plated seafood flown in fresh, white linen napkins folded perfectly. I stood at the head of the table, glass of amber liquid in hand, letting my eyes sweep over the table.

“I appreciate everyone coming out,” I said, voice calm but commanding. I looked down at Honey, eyes slow and heavy, then back to the table. “This is Honey, a boss in her own right. True elegance and desire. But make no mistake… she ain’t here for the view. She’s with me.”

I watched her breath hitch as we locked eyes and I cleared my throat, going on to say, “This weekend ain’t just about luxury and good times. We’re here to talk numbers, break bread, and elevate. Let’s handle business like bosses and continue to live like kings.” I clinked my glass with the closest one and sat back down, already feeling the energy shift.

Honey sat next to me, and I placed my right hand on her hand on her thigh. She looked damn near untouchable, which made me feel territorial as fuck.

“I heard the merger in Brazil is almost final,” Hector said, leaning across the table to Trez.

“Almost,” he replied with a smirk, “My first deal. Shit is huge.”

“I’m so proud of you,” Devyn beamed, looping her arms through his like she really was. I knew better.

I smirked, sitting back. “Closed mouths don’t get legacy, and scared hands don’t make power moves.”

“Facts,” Ronin agreed, lifting his drink.

Everybody toasted. Except Devyn. I could feel her eyes on me burning holes in my skin like her jealousy had weight. But I didn’t flinch. I was too busy admiring the way Honey crossed her legs next to me, giving me a peek of that champagne-colored silk sliding over her thigh. She was soaking up the conversation, but quiet and observant. My kind of woman. And that scent she was wearing? Murderous.

I leaned over, whispering in her ear, “Open for me.”

She blinked, then turned her head just a little, enough to look up at me with disbelief and heat. I didn’t give a fuck. She uncrossed her legs under the table. My hand was alreadythere, sliding up. I could feel the heat radiating from her center through the thin material. I didn’t even have to go far since she was soaked.

“You don’t even know what you do to me,” I murmured low, fingers slipping beneath the fabric of her lace panties.

She gripped her wine glass with both hands and brought it to her lips, eyes focused straight ahead. But I saw the way her thighs tensed. I slid one finger into her slowly. She squeezed her eyes shut for half a second before correcting her posture. I bit back a smirk.

“So, Honey,” Chester started to say. “How’d you two meet anyway?”

I curled a second finger inside her. She gasped softly but masked it with a fake cough. I chuckled low and reached for my glass with my other hand, keeping my fingers stroking inside her with the one she couldn’t see. “We… crossed paths,” I said coolly.

“I seized the moment,” Honey added, her voice a little strained but still sweet. “And never gave it back.”

The table chuckled, nodding in approval before going on to have mixed conversations. She shifted in her seat, swallowing hard as my thumb found her clit and pressed with intention. I felt her walls flutter around my fingers. She was trying to keep it together, but her pussy was losing composure.

I kept my face calm, turned my head to look at Ronin, who was asking about the upcoming deal we had lined up, all the while still sliding my fingers slowly inside Honey. Her body shivered beside me, quiet and subtle, but I let her release without permission. Juices spilling down my knuckles, her hand tightening around her wine glass like it was her only anchor.

I eased my hand out, brought it to my mouth, and licked my fingers clean with one slow swipe of my tongue and my eyes on her the entire time. She was breathless. And just then, the head chef stepped out from the side patio.

“Dinner is served,” he announced with a warm smile.

I patted her thigh under the table, leaned in, and whispered, “And that was just the fucking appetizer.”
