Colin crowded me up against the side of my car, pinned me, and kissed the living hell out of me, my cock springing up to meet his, until we were making out and his hands were under my clothes, one of my legs wrapped around his hip—

“Stop!” I gasped, wrenching out of the kiss. “Oh, shit, Colin, someone could see us!”

He grinned. “Yeah, they’re probably all watching us out of the upstairs windows.”

I glanced up sharply, and—yeah, one of the curtains twitched, like someone had yanked it back when I looked.

“Privacy,” I said. “In a minute!” Because the moment that word left my mouth, Colin had started dragging me away, no doubt to find somewhere only a werewolf would think of as private and do something totally inappropriate, like bend me over and stick his tongue in me. “In a minute. Look in my car first, okay?”

Colin quirked an eyebrow at me. “How many dead bodies? And are the cops after you?”

“What? No,” I sputtered. “Of course not.”

He shrugged. “No big deal either way.” He took my hand, like he couldn’t lose that skin-to-skin connection for even a second, and led me back to the car, peering in the window. “You brought me a box full of books, Newt? I mean, I’d like to read a little more, but I’m not sure I’m gonna start withA Conceptual Approach to the Fundamental Principles of Biotechnology and Genomics. Is there any sci-fi under there anywhere?”

I squeezed his hand. “I also brought those DVDs you’ve been nagging me about.”

“Sweet. We can watch some tonight—if you’re staying? Newt, what are you doing here? Not that I didn’t miss you the fucking second I left, but you have class in a few days. And you didn’t just come here to bring me some movies and a pile of doorstops.”

I nobly refrained from smacking him for his insult to my precious books. “No, I didn’t. Well, okay, actually I did. But it’s because I’m leaving all this stuff here. You know, permanently.” I savored the confused furrow between his brows, and then the dawning look of hope and joy. “Because I’ll be moving the rest of my stuff in a few months, after the semester’s over.”

I suddenly had an armful of amorous alpha again, as Colin reeled me in and kissed me, hard. “You’re moving, you’re actually—oh fuck, Newt, I can’t wait—what about your career? What the hell are you going to do? Not that I care if you want to do nothing at all,” he added hurriedly. “Up to you. No pressure. But you fucking love your job, dude. It means everything to you.”

“Youmean everything to me,” I said gently. “I’d give up science forever if I really had to choose. But I don’t. I have a new job. And a fantastic research opportunity. Everything I want, including you at the top of the list.”

Colin bared his teeth wickedly, his eyes gleaming. “I’ll top your list, Newt.” And he waggled his eyebrows at me.

“Oh, for Christ’s sake—fine,” I said, laughing, as he ducked down and sucked my neck, tickling me and making me writhe—and making me writhe for a totally different reason. I’d lost my erection in the discussion of textbooks, but it came rushing back, pressing against him eagerly. “Fine! Let’s go upstairs and you can—top my list, you asshole, and then we’ll get the books and I’ll tell you all about it.”

Colin bit me once, making me yelp, and then started hauling me off toward the house again.

I went willingly, still laughing and calling him names—just because it wouldn’t do to let him get too complacent.

But I didn’t try to stop him. After all, he was taking me exactly where I wanted to go.
