This is fucking amazing!

Cole laughs loudly. “It’s like he won the lottery or something. Price is Right? I don’t know, but it’s fucking hilarious!”

Gracie slaps Cole’s arm. “Shut it. You wish you just won five thousand dollars. Jerk face.”

“No. No. It’s hilariously awesome, I mean! Chill, woman! Fallon’s my boy.”

“That’s more like it because Fallon and I will probably end up on tour together one day. It seems inevitable, right?”

“Yeah,” I agree. “That would be pretty awesome. And Cole and I can be on the same NBA team.” I sigh, wishing that could all come true.

I focus on the stage and watch Fallon shake hands and speak with three old dudes, taking business cards and giving them small smiles. He’s so out of his comfort zone, yet he’s doing absolutely incredible.

I’m so proud of him, and I’m going to give him my own reward tonight.

With my mouthandmy cock.

“Will you go to Philadelphia with Joel, my dad, and me?” I ask, trailing soft fingertips along his spine, lightly caressing his heated skin after I made love to him.

Fallon’s back tenses at my question. “When?”

“The weekend after Sofie’s party,” I answer.

He narrows his eyes, obviously recognizing the date. The anniversary of his dad’s death.

“Why?”

Shit. The hard part. But there are no secrets between us, so I’m nothing but open and honest.

“To visit your dad’s grave.”

Our gazes meet through the darkness, and the silence is deafening. Intense. It echoes throughout my entire body.

Fallon maneuvers to his elbows. “Will you be there?” he whispers with a vulnerability that stabs me in the heart.

“Of course, baby,” I murmur back. “Come here.”

Fallon crawls on top of me, both of us still naked, and lays flat against my bigger body. I band my arms around him, squeezing tight.

“I’ll always be there for you. No matter what. We do it together.”

“Okay. Together.”

I burrow my face into his soft hair, kissing the top of his head.

“Forever,” I murmur.

CHAPTERTHIRTY-TWO

FALLON

Sofie’s fifteenth birthday party went off without a hitch, and everyone was happy to celebrate the amazing person she is. I never imagined I’d get so lucky to have someone who’s like a little sister to me. It’s a relationship I never knew I needed or wanted, but here we are.

Jamie and Sophie looked awfully close, in my opinion, and Ryder definitely gave his best friend a few curious yet non-hostile glances. I’ve been wondering for a while what, if anything, is going on there. I know Sofie has a crush on Jamie; most girls do. And he treats her with care and respect. But that’s really an understatement. He honestly treats her like a queen.

I’ll leave it up to Ryder to decide if he trusts his best friend with his sister.
