When Tiri raised his head, his cheeks were wet, but his gaze was full of fury. “You haven’t either. All you’ve done your whole life is love your brothers and protect them. You must let Bernal die. He’s dead, Zane. Let him go. He has nothing to do with the man you are.”

“I can. I think I can if you help me.”

“I’d do anything for you.”

“I’m supposed to say that. I’m the duke.”

Tiri rolled his eyes. “This relationship is equal, so we both take care of each other.”

“I’m so glad your village is full of thieves.”

“You are?”

“Otherwise who knows when I would’ve met you?”

“That’s a good point, but it’s still not right to take things from others.”

“Then you shouldn’t have stolen my heart.”

Zane’s other half smiled brilliantly, then pulled his face down to kiss him. Deciding Tiri’s packing could wait another hour or so, he backed him toward the bed, determined to show the sprite how much he adored every gorgeous inch of him.
