“Okay.”
A trio of attendants rushed over to them and introduced themselves. They assured Ellery they had plenty of things for him to try on. He was led to a small enclosed space where he could try on his first dragon suit. Zane was handed a white bit of cloth which he thrust into Ellery’s direction before he could close the door to the dressing room.
“What is this?”
“Underwear.”
“I do not understand.”
“I know elves don’t wear them, but you’re going to need them. They go on under your pants.”
Ellery frowned. “Why do I need them?”
“Well, for one, other people have tried on these pants. You don’t need your business touching other people’s junk,” Zane said as he pushed the underwear toward him which Ellery took. “Also, you’re used to loose stuff with no zippers. Trust me, just wear them.”
“Okay.”
Feeling strange, Ellery shut the door and saw hooks filled with all sorts of clothing in both styles he was going to purchase. There was a lot to try on, and he wondered how long it would take. Deciding the only way to find out was to get started, Ellery tried not to feel embarrassed as he tugged off his sandals, tunic, and pants. He unfolded the underwear, and with a shrug lifted his foot, and within a few seconds had them in place.
“Are these underwear supposed to feel as if they are strangling me?” he called out through the door to Zane.
“Are they too tight?”
“Not if I ever want to have children,” Ellery muttered, though he did not know why that mattered when his partner was male.
“Ellery, do you need a larger size?”
Gazing at himself in the mirror in the white jockey shorts, Ellery shook his head in disbelief. He supposed they weren’t hurting him, and he certainly was not used to the tightness around his legs, but he guessed his balls would appreciate the protection from the coarse material of his pants. “I think they are okay,” he answered. Zane grunted in reply, and Ellery wondered how many more unusual things he would have to get used to in the coming days and weeks.Hopefully they will be more comfortable than my underwear, he thought in merriment.
