“Yeah, but bitch you fucked him. Okay, okay, okay. Uhm, he’s been working from home for weeks, so my guess is he ready to talk this shit out for real. What he say other than that?”

“That’s it. He answered, I spoke my peace, and that was his reply.”

“Well, what the hell did you tell him?”

“How I felt. What else am I saying? Look, go change and shit so we can go.”

She shook her head but did like I asked. I quickly fished through my closet for something to wear. I grabbed a sundress off the hanger and threw it on the bed followed by a pair of sandals. It was too hot for anything else.

I hit the shower next and was fully dressed and ready to go thirty minutes later. I put on the perfume that caught his attention the first day I became London and headed out. Thankfully London was dressed and waiting.

“You look cute. You ready?” she asked snatching up her keys.

Nodding, I grabbed my water off the counter and left the condo completely. If he was going to hate me forever, an invitation wouldn’t have been extended.

Men were used to being the one in control and what me and my sister did probably hurt his ego. I let him live out his delusion and create a physical bond. Whether he acknowledged it or not, our bond was stronger than the one he built with London.

I felt my soul tie to that man the second he entered my body and vice fuckin’ versa. The way he touched me, the way he looked at me, the way he fucked me… it was mine. I took it further than harmless flirting and was granted several orgasms. The real winner in this shit was me.

SNOH

My thoughts were still running a mile a minute, but they were solely of Lyric and the time we spent together. I had years with London, but Lyric woke something up in a nigga. It was like she knew coming into this shit she was going to walk away the woman on top. Love outweighed infatuation and she made me see that. That potion gave me the raw her and in return she gained a nigga heart.

Stepping out the whip, I made my way down the alley to Old Man Nelson’s shop. I had a few bones to pick with his ass, too. He knew what the fuck was gon’ happen and still gave me that shit. He was foul for real.

Entering the shop, he was dealing with a customer but laughed the moment he saw me. I didn’t find shit funny to be frank. My time was wasted, and he stole $800 from a nigga. I wanted my money back. A lil’ wisdom would’ve been better than a con. He was too old for that shit. Once he was done with his customer, I approached the counter.

“Back for more?” he asked.

“Old Man, you made a fool out of me.”

“I told you before you left you were a fool, and you didn’t want to believe me. How am I getting the blame for it?” he laughed.

“She had a twin, and they switched places. I gave it to the wrong one.”

“You got the truth from a woman you thought you were chasing. You made a connection with her and now you’re upset because it was the wrong one. I’m still trying to figure out what the problem is and why I’m getting chewed.” I couldn’t do shit but offer an irritable chuckle. Everything he said was valid.

“The one I wanted doesn’t like men and the one that loves me I never knew about. She gave me a week of her undivided attention and shockingly she still has mine. My focus has shifted.”

“Again, what is the problem? You have a choice to make so make it. The cards were laid on the table so make a move or walk away.”

“Give me my money back Old Man. I ain’t ask for all this bullshit.”

“No refunds,” he laughed pointing to the sign on the counter. “Go be with your lover Snoh. You’re not as foolish as you seem.”

“You’re a con man Old Man,” I said heading for the door.

“I’ve been called worse.”

Exiting the shop, I jogged back to my car and hopped in. I’d made my choice before pulling up in The Shores anyway. His smartass remarks didn’t change my mind about the twins. Since emotions were the root of all this shit, why not keep them as raw as they could be and settle this three-way bullshit once and for all.

The drive back to the crib hit me for a smooth thirty minutes. When I pulled up to the gate, London’s car was parked to the side. I changed everything on her knowing she would visit me sooner or later. It took her four days to realize I wasn’t goingback to work until I was ready. When I didn’t answer her calls and spoke solely through email, she got the picture. I had nothing to say.

Tapping the key on the visor, the gate opened. I entered with them following behind. I parked in my garage while they parked in front of my steps. It was wild to even be experiencing this kiddie ass shit, but it was a game they played. Consequences and accountability were the only result.

They were let in through the front door and we filed inside the kitchen. I needed a drink to get me through this. I grabbed the Don on the bar and poured up a shot.
