“What about Kim?” Garrett hadn’t been super close to his sister in a few years, but she was still his sister and a mom. They were working on getting back to how they were growing up. Kelsey and Erin needed their mother.

“I don’t know. Where are the cubs?” his uncle asked.

“At Mom and Dad’s.” What the hell was he going to tell his parents? Or shit, his nieces? They were too young for this.

“Good. They’re safe. I wouldn’t want to go up against my brother when he’s protecting cubs.” His uncle shook his head as he said that.

“You’re the Alpha though?” Doc asked.

“I am but think about a pissed off grandparent protecting their grandbabies.”

He watched Doc nod at his uncle’s answer before he asked, “What do you need me to do?” Garrett could always just bring Doc back to the park and let him start his research.

“Take Dr. Brown and help him do his research. The Quad will take care of this. I’ll call Matias and tell him what’s going on,” Uncle Mario instructed as he walked toward the door.

“But—” Garrett started to argue.

“No, leave this to the Quad. They’re trained for this. Fighting in either form is ingrained in them. Don’t go off on your own. Am I clear?” The wave ofsuaderethat Garrett felt at his uncle’s words would have knocked him on his ass if he’d been standing.

“Yes, Alpha.”
