Logic screamed for me to not to do what I was about to do, but I silenced every reason it threw at me.

My fate had been sealed in that final match of the Alpha Games. There was no getting around it.

One day, Asher and I would forever sever this bond between us.

But nothing said it needed to happen tonight.

In fact, my soul and wolf refused to let it happen tonight.

So, I gave in to both. I let my instincts lead me as I leaned towards Asher.

His eyes widened further, but before he could do or say anything, I pressed my lips to his cheek—brushing the corner of his mouth.

“Blair, what are you—”

I silenced him with another kiss. This one, I pressed firmly against his mouth.

A growl vibrated through his chest. I felt it on my lips.

I sensed Asher’s hesitation. Panic beat in my chest. Would he push me away instead of allowing us to have this moment together?

His hands wrapped around my arms, and he twisted me so I lied on the bed, erasing my worries as he leaned over me.

Asher’s hands dived into my hair, holding me still as stared straight into my eyes—into mysoul. The passion in his eyes was a mirror to my own.

“Are you sure, Blair?” he asked in a husky voice.

I fisted my hands in his rumpled shirt, drawing him closer. “Yes.” CPR had triggered the fated bond between us, but I’d be damned if I didn’t experience the pleasure of a real kiss with my fated mate.

Despite my reply, Asher continued to pause.

It was my turn to growl. “Kiss me, Asher, or I might just find someone else who—”

Asher’s mouth crashed against mine.

My entire body lit up. I closed my eyes and reveled in the myriad of sensations overwhelming every fiber of my being.

Asher’s lips moved against mine with skill. Fire licked every spot where Asher and I touched. I soaked in the heat.

One of Asher’s hands moved to rest on my hip. I felt his calloused touch through my thin tank top.

Tilting my head to the side, I deepened the kiss. My hands roamed over Asher’s chest. My toes curled as I trailed over every defined muscle.

Mother. He’s ripped!

And he’s mine.

My hands latched onto his shoulders, pulling him so every inch of him was pressed against me. His lower half fell between my legs, and heat built in a new, exciting place.

I wrapped my legs around his hips. A rumble sounded from his throat. The sound sent another flood of heat to my core. His tongue pressed into my mouth, and I mimicked his movements.

Nothing had ever felt so right as kissing Asher Wolfstan. He was my fated mate, and I never believed it more than that moment.

That moment, things changed.

Asher called to me in ways I had never experienced. His broody behavior, his determination, his seriousness… even his moments of arrogance. He was a challenge I knew I could conquer.

No…not conquer.
