Shoving his digits deep into my throat, he made me gag and choke on them while holding my face still with his free hand. "That's it, get every drop of us." I faintly caught the sight of his mad smile through my tears. "I love how much of a cum slut you are for me." His dark chuckle sent shivers down my body as I eagerly cleaned his fingers.

His fingers pulled out with a soft smack of my lips with how much I sucked at them. "You're so fucking beautiful." His words were filled with awe and love as he admired me from above.

A tender moment fell upon us as he stroked my cheek ardently. "I really can't get enough of you." He started with an overly warm smile, getting down on his knee to hover his faceabove mine. "Your lovely eyes." His words faded out as he kissed my eyes. "This cute nose." I could feel his lips graze down my nose bridge before they kissed the tip. "And these lips." He took his sweet time claiming my lips in a passionate kiss.

Loosely wrapping my arms around his neck, I tangled my fingers into his dark strands as we let our tongues dance with each other hotly. Through heated breaths, he smiled lovingly at me as his hands mapped out every inch of my body. "Your body is a fucking masterpiece, my masterpiece." He growled softly against my lips before taking them again in a heated kiss.

When he pulled away, I expected some more sweet and doting words or his cheeky smile. So, seeing the nervous scrunch on his half-smiling face made my mood and expression fall into a dark pit as my anxiety hiked up to the damn skies. "Bub? What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that? Did I do something?" I certainly didn't say anything because I haven't peeped up one bit.

Flipping onto my front side, I pushed myself up onto my haunches. Gingerly, I reached out and held his wary face, brushing his hair out of his face with trembling fingers. "Adam? Bub? Please, what did I do wrong?" It had to have been me because what could he possibly do wrong between us?

His face relaxed with a reassuring smile before his head shook. "Eliza darling, no, nothing like that, no." The vibrations of his chuckles tickled my palms a bit as I held onto his face for dear life. "It's nothing bad or anything of your doing," he assured me with a strong smile.

I watched his shoulders rise and fall deeply a few times before his flickering eyes settled on his pants on the ground next to him. Without prying himself from me, he reached out and snatched the piece of clothing up. After a quick second of fishing around in the pocket of the pants, he pulled out…

No…

Please, no…

"Adam…" I could feel all the color drain from my face and trickle down and out of my body as I stared at him with bugged-out eyes and an agape mouth.

Adam's face twisted in confusion for a split second before he broke out laughing, which had me looking at him with a twisted expression. "Oh, darling, please, no, it's not what you think." He stammered out between his laughter.

Skillfully, he popped open the small, black box with one hand while taking my hand with the other. "I'm not proposing to you," he assured me with a firm smile that quickly turned cheeky. "Yet." He snickered softly before kissing my stunned lips. "It's just a promise ring, something for you to have around your finger to look at whenever you are not next to me."

Again, with one hand, he pulled the delicate platinum ring out of the box and slipped it onto my left ring finger. "Whenever you are feeling down or having doubts about anything with yourself or us, I want you to look at this ring," he told me with a soft and tender smile. "This ring is so much more than a promise from me to you about making you my wife one day. This is a reminder ofallthe promises I am making to you and of those you will make to yourself."

Slowly, I pushed myself up into a sitting position when Adam stood a little and sat beside me. His arms shot out, wrapping around my waist and pulling me into his lap. "I swear to you, what we have, our relationship, is not temporary. I have every intention of making you my wife when I see that you are ready. You are my forever, Eliza, my paradise. I swear, I will always treat you right and do right by you as I have been, but I will always be trying to do better and better every day for the rest of our lives." His lips sealed mine with a breath-taking kiss before he continued with a big smile, "I swear, our family will be nothing but perfect by our standards. I swear, I will alwaysprovide for you in every aspect: physically, financially, mentally, emotionally, and anything else you can think of. My heart belongs to you, and I am your home." My whole heart melted with his ardent gaze full of promise. "Our life will be a flawless love story. I will love you until my dying breath and beyond."

God damn it!

Tears burned at my eyes as they squeezed out of my eyes and streamed down my cheeks. "Adam." Grabbing his face, I pulled his face into a kiss. "I love you so much," I whispered against his lips with a big smile.

Taking my hands in his, he looked down at them with a dreamy smile while he rubbed the ring with his thumb. "I also want this ring to be something of a promise to yourself as well," he said, looking deeply into my eyes. "I want you to promise me you will stop putting yourself down, saying that you aren't good enough for me, that you aren't worth anything."

Lifting my hand up, he lightly shook it in front of my face. "This ring right here should be more than enough proof to you that you are worth it because I would never put a ring on someone who wasn't worth my time, someone who I have no intentions of spending forever with." Bringing my hand to his lips, he kissed it. "When you have your dark moments, you look at this ring and remember the future that you are promised, the life that you have in front and ahead of you."

Setting my hands back into my lap, he cupped my face again, stroking my cheeks with his thumbs. "I love you, Eliza, and nothing will ever change that. I am beyond serious about you, and not only do I want what's best for us, but I want what's best for you, too."

Giggling and grinning like a girl in love, I placed my hand over his and leaned into his touch. "My bub is just the sweetest."

God, I really don't deserve this man, but he's so crazy about me that I can't help but take and keep him.

Holding my hand out in front of me, I admired the ring with bright eyes.

The small band was made up of waves like the ocean, closing in on a pink pearl with a ring of white diamonds around it, all of which sat in the center of a rose. Then, on the band next to the pearl were our names, his being on one side and mine on the other.

I spoke in awe as I continued to marvel at the ring, "Can't I just have this as the wedding ring? It's so perfect already." Seriously, the only thing that was missing was the second band to make it a wedding set.

"If that is what my darling Eliza wants, then I guess," Adam relented with a teasing chuckle and roll of his eyes. "But I'm adding some fancy bands to make sure your finger is completely decked out, and I'm proposing to you with another ring that will be a part of the whole set."

Sensing it to be a pointless battle, I rolled my eyes in defeat before kissing his cheek. "Nothing too fancy. You know I'm not one to make a huge statement." Call me simple and cliché or whatever, but I preferred lowkey and delicate jewelry.

I was more than happy with the promise ring because the pearl wasn't huge or anything, maybe about the size of a pencil eraser, and the ring of diamonds around it was dainty.

"Don't worry. I know what you like and what you don't." At least his confident grin was reassuring enough for me.

Getting off the bed with me in his arms, he brought me over to the vanity and set me down, straightening my dress out. "Now, let's get you put back together before my mom sees you like this and goes after me for making you such a mess."
