“You’re sure this time?” My brow arched.

“Yeah.” He smiled.

“Thank you. I’ll test it out now.”

I slipped the disc into the game system, sat on the leather couch, and began playing. My office door opened, and Chase walked in.

“Did they fix it?” he asked.

“It appears they did.” I smiled.

“We need to leave for that meeting now with Walsh Software,” he said.

“Shit. I forgot about that.” I shut the game off, grabbed my suitcoat, and we left the office.

“After our meeting, I want to stop at this coffee shop. It’s right near where our meeting is,” Chase said.

“Why?”

“Lila keeps talking about it. She said they have the best coffee—better than Starbucks.”

“What’s this place called?” I asked.

“Love At First Sip. Cute, right?” He grinned.

After our meeting ended, I had my driver, Mateo, take us to Love At First Sip. When we stepped inside, I stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the barista behind the counter.

“What’s wrong?” Chase turned his head.

“That’s her.”

“Who?”

“Marley. The beautiful woman from the airport.”

Chapter Four

Marley

I stood behind the counter, taking orders while Olivia made the coffee drinks, and Penelope was in the back interviewing someone. The place was hopping, and I sawhimwhen I looked up to see how long the line was. My heart started racing at an uncontrollable speed.

When it was his turn, he and another man approached the counter.

“Well, if it isn’t my seatmate.” A smirk crossed his lips.

“Let me guess. A medium Americano with an extra shot.” I smiled.

“You remembered.”

“I have a good memory. And what can I get for you?” I asked his friend.

“Same as him.”

“You didn’t tell me you were a barista.”

“That’s because you told me to stop talking to you.” I smirked. “Besides, you never told me your name.”

“It’s Charlie.” His friend grinned.
