I took a nice long shower with one of the dozens of shower gels he got me and then pampered myself with thick, creamy lotion and exotic smelling perfume. Before I left the bedroom, I dug through my drawer to get the present I had for Titan. I went downstairs to see him, floating on a cloud with my hand tucked behind my back.

“Damn, baby girl,” he smiled when he saw me. He had the power to make me feel like the most beautiful girl in the entire world with one look. “You ready for your day?” I nodded eagerly. I was more than ready. Especially since Titan and I went ahead and hired help for Honey Sugar.

Finally, we didn’t have to slave over the sweet shop every waking minute. It was hard for me to let go of control but it was best. The loyal moonshine and cannabis candy customers knew during the hours we had workers that the backdoor was closed. I was learning to relinquish control of Honey Sugar but not that much. Never that much.

“I am but I have a present for you first,” I grinned and rocked from one side to the other. Nerves bounced around in my stomach unable to settle down.

“It’syourbirthday. Youreighteenthbirthday and you have a present forme?” Titan chuckled and wet his lips with his tongue. God, he was sexy. My palms tingled when I stared at him.

“I do. Close your eyes,” I told him. After a long sigh, his stubborn ass finally closed his eyes and held out his hand. I placed the present in his palm and watched his fingers close around it.

When he opened his eyes, his jaw dropped.

Inside his hand, I’d placed a very positive pregnancy test I took the night before. It was so damn hard not to wake him out of his sleep to scream and shout that I was pregnant. It was the best birthday present I could have ever asked for. Now, I got to enjoy giving the same present to Titan and watching him light up over the news.

He stood in the parlor stuck for a good five minutes at least. Finally, he blinked and looked at me with a smile. His eyes shone so brightly my breath hitched in my throat.

“You’re pregnant?” He asked quietly even though he saw the answer in his hand. I nodded my head and hugged him tight. He only wrapped his arms around me gently though.

“I’m pregnant, Titan. Not porcelain.” He hugged me a little tighter that time then pulled away to put his hand on my stomach.

“My baby girl is having my baby.”

Oh god, the way he looked at me…

He looked at me like I was magic. Like I was the reason beauty existed. I believed it too because the way he looked at me hadn’t lied yet. I wanted that look burned into my memory.

I still had a hard time going into the parlor but seeing Titan smiling after hearing about me being pregnant with our first baby was going to change the energy in there forever. It was going to be coated in honey and sugar. It was going to dissolve the bitterness.

I realized that after everything Titan and I went through, we deserved good memories too. We didn’t have to be steeped in anger and grief. We had a chance to move beyond what our stories were supposed to be. We could create something new. Something for us. That’s what we’d do…construct our own world from honey, sugar, laughter, and joy.

A world just for us because we were a whole mood.

We were Ivy and Titan.

Titan and Ivy.

We wereeverything.

EPILOGUE

I looked at my watch and sighed, shaking my head. Don was running late. I should have known. “This is why you should have hadmebring the rings. I’m never late,” Bear said straightening his cufflinks. I shot him a look then flipped him off.

I asked Don and Bear to be my best men. I couldn’t think of anyone else. My circle was too small and they were the only two people I trusted. They were the only people Ivy trusted too and trust was important on our wedding day.

We were starting a new chapter in our lives with our daughter, Sarah Olivia, and now we were getting married. I honored Ivy’s wishes of wanting to wait until she had Sarah before we got married. She didn’t want to be a pregnant bride because she had her eye on a specific Chanel wedding dress that couldn’t be altered in her opinion.

It was my job to make baby girl happy.

It didn’t matter when I married her. She would always be mine.

“Hey, I’m here. I’m here.” Don rushed into the kitchen with the rings in hand. Bear shook his head and sighed.

“Okay, I’m going to let Ivy know it’s time.” Bear patted my shoulder and left me and Don alone.

“Shit, you’re about to be a married man, Titan,” he mused.
