"Do you want to have a drink before we have dinner?"
"I think that would be best. I've got a ton of questions for you."
"Really?"
"Dom, you haven't really talked much about yourself, and I would like to get to know you better."
"There's not much to say. I'm a workaholic. I spend most of my time here. My brothers keep trying to get me to take time off all the time."
"So tell me about these brothers."
His eyes meet mine and I think that's the moment he realizes I'm serious about this. So we order some drinks and sit down for a long chat. Hopefully, I'll be more informed about him once we go have dinner. After all, I have big plans for after.
Chapter 7
Lulu
After an in depth conversation with Dom about his brothers, his parent's death and how he became a workaholic, I feel more comfortable with what is going to happen tonight. Or should I say, what I want to happen tonight between us.
When he opens the door to my suite I see that dinner is elegantly displayed in the living room table. I can't believe he went through all this trouble for me. But he's like that, grandiose. I like that about him. I notice there are red roses all around and champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.
I have a sweet tooth so I've already been won over by those.
"This is amazing, Dominic."
He walks over to where the champagne is and opens it up with a flourish. Then he serves two glasses and hands one to me.
"Lulu, my beauty. With every new fact I find about you and your life I'm more in awe of the amazing person you are. Let's make a toast to a beautiful evening together."
That makes me laugh.
"You're being very presumptuous."
He leans towards me, so close that our lips almost touch.
"I know you can feel the electricity between us. There's a fire brewing and it feels like if we don't do something about it things are going to spontaneously combust."
As a matter of fact, I do feel that fire and electric zap between us. I wait for him to kiss me, but he doesn't. He just smiles and steps back.
"What do you say, beauty?"
"I'll toast to that."
What? I'm a lightweight. I can't handle all of his charm. I drink the bubbly liquid slowly and watch him. He looks magnificent tonight. I watch him as he puts down his glass and takes a chocolate strawberry in his hand.
When he feeds it to me, I take a small bite, enjoying the mixture of the sweet and tart flavors in my mouth. I suddenly realize I might not be able to wait until after dinner to have this man between my legs. So I do what one of my heroines would do in my books and take his hand in mine.
I place a kiss on the palm of his hand and I feel him tremble at the contact. He feeds me the rest of the strawberry and I start pulling him toward the couch. I push him down and straddle him. My skirt is pushed up and he puts his hands on my thighs as I place mine on his shoulders.
"You look good enough to eat tonight, Dom."
"I can say the same thing about you, Lulu."
His soft hands roam up and down my legs in a slow, careful way, as if he's in awe of my body. He's being a gentleman, though, and I don't think I can take it. I lower my face to his and stop when my lips are hovering over his.
I close the gap between us and take the lead. Our lips mesh together as if they were meant to be and I can taste the champagne we both had a few moments ago. Within seconds of our kissing he's expertly dominated our kiss and I decide I don't mind surrendering to him.
His hands are still moving against my skin and several times he comes close to touching me between my legs, but he doesn't quite make it. I don't know if it's strategy or if he needs the go ahead from me, so I start grinding against his crotch.
