It didn’t take long for Tori to start moving her hips against his hand, demanding more from him. She didn't need to ask twice—he was there. Rhett sunk two fingers into her, never breaking pace as he kept working her clit with his thumb.

“Oh my gosh, Rhett. Yes. Please don’t stop,” she whispered. Her whole body was draped over him as she continued to grind against his hand.

“I know you. I’ve got you,” he reassured her, maintaining the rhythm he had created but using his other hand to pull her body even tighter—even deeper—over him.

After a few minutes of steady pressure, he felt her thighs tense up against his legs. She was close.

“Eyes on me, beautiful. I want to watch you fall apart,” he whispered into her ear. He gently coaxed her head back so he could look into her eyes.

“Come for me,” he demanded.

Tori collapsed against him as she spiraled over the edge. He watched her face contort with pleasure, her forehead slick against his with a light sheen of sweat. The windows were all fogged up around them. Rhett stayed unmoving as she recovered from her orgasm; he didn’t want to do anything to interrupt her pleasure. Eventually she peeled her body off his and lifted her hips up so he could move his hand.

“That was unbelievable,” she praised him, grinding her hips appreciatively in his lap and kissing him deeply. Rhett accepted her praise and her kisses, but after another minute, he reluctantly pulled away.

“You know I would stay in this car with you all night, V, but I promised you a show for your birthday, and I feel like we better get in there soon.”

Tori sighed in protest. “To be continued?” she asked, running her hand along the seam of his jeans in the most tantalizing way.

“To be continued.”

“Me too,” he replied softly into her hair.

“Do you want to grab some food while I go to the bathroom? Then we can swap?” she suggested.

“Yeah, that’s fine. What do you want?”

“I want a pretzel, and I think I might want a beer.” Tori looked up at him earnestly. Rhett stilled, trying to keep the surprise from showing on his face. “Is that okay?”

Rhett knew her question was self-assuring rather than permission-seeking. Over the years, abstaining from alcohol had become a hallmark of health. She rarely drank in an effort to stave off the cancer she swore was lurking in her body. Turning down drinks gave her some semblance of control. He always offered her a drink when they were together anyways, but he never pushed it or teased her about turning down booze. He wouldn’t dare.

“You got it, beautiful,” he answered with a smile. Rhett tried not to look too pleased with himself as Tori left his side to find the end of the women’s bathroom line. He couldn’t help feeling a smug satisfaction that she was willing to loosen her grasp on her inhibitions tonight.

The line crept along as he perused the concession menu and the merch options.

“Hey, man,” he started when it was finally his turn. “Can I get two pretzels, a dozen boneless buffalo wings, a Blue Moon tallboy, and two waters?” Rhett whipped out his card and paid for the food without paying attention to the total. He added a generous tip and signed the credit card slip before grabbing their food and shifting over to the merchandise counter.

There were several people working the booth. Rhett set his sights on the closest employee, a cute girl with an eyebrow piercing and a full sleeve inked on one of her slender arms. Rhett could feel her sizing him up as he leaned over the counter.

“Can I get the black one in a large please?” he asked as soon as he caught her eye.

“That’s my favorite design,” the girl said coyly, scanning the price tag and calculating his total.

“It’s awesome,” he agreed. “My girlfriend’s going to love it.” He offered her a polite smile, then inserted his card into the reader before accepting the shirt and slinging it over his shoulder.

Rhett managed to balance all the concessions as he made his way to an empty high-top table. He searched the crowd for Tori, a smile taking over his whole face when he spotted her in the sea of bodies.

“I feel way better,” she declared, approaching the table and eyeing everything he had ordered. He couldn’t help but notice how strikingly beautiful she looked—hair loose and straight, eyes shining brightly when she smiled. There was something different about her tonight: she was comfortable and at ease, which wasn’t typical for Tori.

“Ohhh, is that for me?!” She reached for the T-shirt still slung over his shoulder.

“Well, I bought it in my size, but I’m prepared to share custody.” The only time Tori wore T-shirts was when she was painting or sleeping anyways.
