The bruising kisses, the rough way he massaged her breasts, the feel of the rough callouses on his fingertips as they brushed overher hardened nipples all felt so amazing that pleasure quickly spiraled to life inside her.

“You need to come now, princess,” he ordered, voice tight as he was obviously restraining himself, holding in his orgasm so they could come together. “Touch yourself,” he ordered.

Powerless to do anything but obey, Monique reached between where their bodies joined and touched her sensitive bud.

“Harder, faster,” Jax growled, then the hand that had been on her breast gripped hers, and he forced her to work her bundle of nerves at the same pace that he was relentlessly thrusting into her.

The spirals of pleasure grew stronger.

Unfurling through her body.

Then his mouth claimed one of her nipples, sucking hard, before his teeth sank into her breast and the unexpected burst of pain detonated a bomb of ecstasy that claimed her in a fiery burst that had her screaming his name into the otherwise quiet forest.

She felt him come inside her as he found his release, and the combination of that and his tongue now lapping at the bitemark on her breast had her feel well and truly claimed.

Exactly like she’d wanted.

With a sleepy smile, Monique sank down to rest against Jax, keeping him buried inside her, not ready to lose that connection yet.

“Was that everything you wanted, princess?” he asked as he tugged her clothes back down to cover her chest, then tucked her head under his chin.

“Everything. It was perfect. Thank you for not treating me like I’m a fragile china doll.”

“You're not, princess. You're a strong, brave, powerful warrior, fighting for those who need you, like your little buddy there. We put on quite the show for him.”

Monique laughed as she looked over at the fox. “He slept through the whole thing.”

Jax hugged her tightly, then touched a kiss to the top of her head. “Do you want me to clean you up before we try to get some sleep?”

“No. I don’t want to move yet, I'm not ready to let you go. I don’t think I’ll ever be ready to let you go,” she murmured, clenching herinternal muscles around his softening length still buried inside her, maybe giving too much away about how she was already feeling, but not caring in the least.

She’d found her person, her other half, her soulmate, she was sure of it, and she couldn’t imagine a single thing ever being big enough to come between them. Jax was her forever, whether that be until they were old and gray or until they perished out there in the forest.

It definitely made him a bad person that he couldn’t regret having sex with Monique even though he was lying to her.

Jax knew the smarter option would have been to say no and find a way to let her down gently, but she’d been so open with him, allowed herself to be so vulnerable, and she’d begged and pleaded with him not to reject her.

How was he supposed to say no to that?

It didn’t matter how smart it was, telling her no would have snapped the bond growing between them.

Just as surely as telling her the truth would.

Only …

Maybe she would understand.

She’d been raped when she was fourteen, bargained with her body to save another girl, so she would understand why his family had to do whatever it took to get justice. She’d get that coming toFrance to meet up with her at that Halloween ball wasn't about hurting her, it was just about trying to use anything they could to get answers.

Monique would understand. She had to.
