Like murder Brady.
Or worse, our father.
I roll off Eden and onto my side, grabbing the phone in the process. “Hey,” I say, putting the phone to my ear, and trying to settle my breathing.
The last thing I need is to talk to my brother while sounding like I just got fucked.
I did. Sort of, I guess.
“Can you meet me at the old place?” Tyler’s voice is rough like he’s just smoked a pack of cigarettes.
“Now?”
“Yeah, unless you’ve got?—”
“No, I’ll be there in twenty.”
Tyler lets out a breath. “Thanks.”
The phone goes dead, so I drop it next to me on the bed and rub a hand over my face.
This isn’t going to be as fun of a day as I had planned. I needed an outlet, needed to get my hands on Eden and make her beg for what she wanted.
Between Emerson trying to destroy himself and my rocky relationship with Tyler, I’m barely hanging on by my fingertips. It’s been a while since I’ve been in total control—the only times I’ve ever done so are when I have someone tied up and fully at my disposal.
“Will, is everything okay?” Eden strokes my forearm, eyes searching mine.
“That was Tyler,” I say, scrubbing a hand through my hair. “He wants me to meet him at the house.”
Her eyebrows shoot up. “Your dad’s house?”
I nod.
“Do you want me to come with you?”
I push myself up and plant a soft kiss on her lips. “It’s fine, Sunshine. You... just do your thing. I won’t be long.”
Eden nods, giving me a small smile when I pull back. “Say hi to Ty for me.”
“Will do.”
My palms are sweatingby the time I pull up outside my dad’s house. I wipe them on my navy shorts, jaw clenching as I stare out the windscreen.
Tyler is leaning against his car, his legs crossed at the ankles as he stares up at the old brick shithole we once shared.
This will go either one of two ways. The first one being, Tyler tries to talk me into seeing the old man, leaving me with no other option but to kill him.
Or two, I manage to keep a handle on my temper, and get this over and done with so I can take out my frustrations on a certain dark-haired brat who needs to learn her place.
Groaning, I climb out of my car and meet Tyler at his. “You ready for this?”
My brother straightens and nods, rolling his shoulders. “As I’ll ever be.”
With a single nod, I lead the way, Tyler close behind until we get inside. Jenny’s face lights up when she notices us both, racing over to hug me, then Tyler.
It’s like she’s known him his whole life the way she embraces him.
“This is Jenny,” I say, nodding to the woman staring at Tyler like she’s amazed by him.
