Raine teeters, shaking her wild orchid hair from side to side and rolling her eyes. “I’m sure you were, brother. But to answer your question, she denied any involvement with Georgie and begged us to believe her rancid, lying mouth.”
“So we gagged her then blindfolded her and fucked to pass the time. Oh, I did tell her you weren’t going to be a happy mafia underboss when you saw her next,” Arrow says with a smirk firmly in place.
Contemplating my next move, I see Acheron refilling our drinks from my peripheral. I turn and nod a thanks then tip the glass back and scull the contents.
“Is Georgie finished yet?”
“He called in sick, boss.” Arrow smirked.
“Ok. You and Acheron go and grab his raggedy ass. I want to see what the fuck this cunt is up to. Rainey, let’s play.”
After the boys leave, I smash back another drink before heading down to talk to Brandy. My thoughts are like a fucking hurricane swirling around and I pray to Hades that Acheron and Arrow find Georgie, because it’s imperative that I ascertain what game my father is playing.
Frigid air whirls around us and the hair on my nape stands to attention as our feet clunk loudly down the steel stairs to the basement.
I fucking hate this place with every fiber of my being. If it wasn’t for our fathers, this place would be no fucking more. Raine’s and my shoes click on the cold and unwelcoming concrete as we walk down the vestibular. She stops suddenly at an old decrepit looking door that has definitely seen better days.
Those cobalt eyes pin me and pirouette with devilry. The side of my face lifts into a grin and she smiles back at me − Rainey is ready to play.
She opens the door and I screw my face up as soon as the stench of piss assaults my nares. It seems Raine wasn’t feeling very hospitable.
I can’t see a foot in front of me because the room is that dark. I open my mouth to ask Raine to turn on the light but it switches on before I utter a word.
The light globe swings from the ceiling much like the other room we were recently in when we tortured those fucking sickos.
Slowly my eyes adjust to the dim glow of the bulb to see Brandy strapped to one of those dentist chairs, blindfolded. I’m guessing Raine and Arrow left it on her. I strut the short distance toward her and shy away from the horrid stench wafting off her. The malodor clings to her wet flesh as do her soaked clothes.
“Who−who’s there?” Brandy’s voice comes out scratchy. If I was anyone else I’d feel sorry for the sorry state she’s in. Alas, I’m not, and I really don’t give a flying fuck.
“Agony and torture rolled up in a tight as fuck ball ready to rupture. Who the fuck do you think?”
Her bottom lip trembles and she sucks in a breath. A sob retches from her throat. “I−I haven’t betrayed you, Justyce. You have to believe me!”
I cluck my tongue. “That’s where you’re wrong, Brandy. I don’t have to believe a single word you that comes out of your mouth. And newsflash, I don’t. What I need to know is what Georgie has planned and where you slot into the picture.”
Locking my hands together behind my back, I pass a sideway glance at Raine. “Take off the blindfold.”
Raine saunters over, her leather pants crinkling, her heels clicking against the floor. She grabs a fist full of Brandy’s hair and rips her head up, causing Brandy to cry out. She looks at me, a sadistic grin on her face, then pulls the blindfold off and slaps her.
Brandy screams, the sound vibrating off the wall as Raine brings her face closer to hers, daring her to try something. I don’t miss the trepidation bleeding through her chocolate skin and the tremble in her body.
“I suggest you do as he says, Brandy, because Justyce is the judge here today. And if you ever want to see the light of day, then play your fucking cards right,” Raine says tightly before bringing her hand down hard across Brandy’s face again. Brandy whimpers and Raine smiles and moves away from her.
With a cruel smile in place because I’m not in the mood to be fucked with today, I say, “I’m not going to ask you again, Brandy. What is Georgie up to?”
She sucks her teeth before drawing her bottom lip in as if trying to stop it from trembling. Her eyes reflect what she is no doubt feeling – defeated. “What does it matter whether I tell you or not? You’re both going to play cat and mouse with me and then break my neck anyway.”
Smart.
“Perhaps that’s true. If it is, I’m sure you’re intelligent enough to know what’ll happen if you withhold information. I’m certain you’ve seen and heard enough to realize the less you comply the more fun we have providing you with a taste of your very ownGehenna.”
Perspiration drips down between Brandy’s eyes and pools on the tip of her nose − she’s shitting herself. I look at her in disgust, wondering how I ever stuck my dick in her. I quirk an eyebrow, waiting for her response. Brandy’s breathing ratchets and she stammers through her words.
“I−I… My intention was never to betray any of you. I’ve been seeing Georgie for little while now and everything was fine until his long-lost brother showed up recently,” she rushed.
“Get to the point, Brandy.” Raine flicks her hand between me and her before continuing. “Neither of us are your therapist, the seat you’re strapped to isn’t a couch, and frankly we don’t care for your life story. Tell us what we need to know before I lose my fucking patience.”
“This is relevant, you stupid spoiled bitch.”
