Garrick was my best man.

Harlee was Talia’s.

Everyone we knew had shown up for the occasion.

“I promise to love you. I promise to be there. I promise to always put you first. You told me that you picked our wedding date because it was the first time I ever smiled at you. You claimed my heart when you were twenty-one, and you threw my shit in my face. I’m sorry it took me longer to catch up.” I told her.

She winked up at me as tears trailed down her cheeks.

I brought my hand up and with the pad of my thumb, I wiped them away.

“I promise to love you. I promise to be there through the good times and the bad. It’s okay that it took you a while to catch up; I would have waited the rest of my life for you. No one gets me like you do. No one understands me like you do. You told me you were fractured, and baby, so am I. But together... we make the term fractured, our bitch. I love you.”

Laughter sounded around us.

And the moment we were pronounced man and wife, I pulled her into my arms, dipped her low, and kissed the hell out of her.

My wife.

My life.

The mother of my babies.

I had my entire world in my arms.

Yeah, had the roles been reversed, I would have waited forever for her.

I lifted her as claps, cheers, hollers, and whistles flew around us.

“Ten dollars says Talia starts the next bickering war,” Ethan called out.

Talia glared at him.

I chuckled.

Then she glared at me.

And then, like a shot in the night, other bids started flowing in.

“Twenty on Talia.”

“Forty on Dom.”

“One hundred on Talia.”

“Seventy-five on Dom.”

I winked down at her, then said, “Couldn’t you have picked a better dress?”

She gasped, “You didn’t!”

Everyone who bet on Talia sighed.

I leaned my head down and whispered only for her to hear, “Meant that in a good way, Minx. Cause all I want to do is strip you bare and fuck the shit out of you.”

Her eyes sparked with heat, then she winked.

A little speaker was brought out here, and then I spun Talia around, pulled her close as the soft sounds ofIt’s Your Love by Faith Hill and Tim McGrawsounded around us.
