No, I didn’t expect her to do that, but it was nice all the same.

And when I walked in and smelled something amazing cooking, I grinned.

I headed to the kitchen and made my way to her.

I needed a shower, but I needed her first.

She was at the stove stirring something, which was why I used my chin to move her hair out of the way, and I pressed a kiss on the side of her neck.

She tilted her head to give me better access, then she whispered, “Hi.”

I grinned against her neck and whispered, “Hi.”

After I had my shower, I sat down at the table and winked at her, “Looks great, baby. Thank you.”

She snorted, “Yeah, no.”

I lifted a brow, “No to what?”

“Baby. It’s cliché. Prefer Minx.” She said.

I winked, “Got it, Minx.”

Then I scooped up two pork chops, a roll, and a spoonful of green beans, and then I stared.

“What the fuck is this shit?” I asked as I looked at the casserole dish.

She rolled her eyes, “It’s macaroni and cheese.”

I nodded, “Get that. But that brown shit?”

She scoffed, “It’s cheese. You know the yellow stuff that tastes amazing on just about everything.”

It was my turn to roll my eyes, “I know that, but why the fuck does it look like this?”

She sighed, “It’s baked. I put it in the oven.”

“Don’t do it next time. Or better yet, let me make it. Gross.” I told her.

She gasped, “Excuse me?”

I narrowed my eyes at her, “You heard me.”

“I know you didn’t just complain.” She said as she slammed her hands on top of the table.

I grunted, “I sure as fuck did.”

She sneered, “You didn’t cook it, so deal with it. You don’t like it, keep your fucking opinions to yourself.”

“Like you do?” I asked with a lifted brow.

“You did not just throw that in my face.” She snarled.

I grunted again, “I sure the fuck did.”

That was when her eyes flared, “Fine. You want to do this?”

I jerked up my chin, “Already doing it, Sparkles.”
