Then I tipped my chin, “Coffee place three blocks over. Let’s go.”
I wrapped an arm around Talia’s waist and started to propel her forward.
“Umm, I was planning on it just being the two of us,” Jillian said.
I shook my head, “Whatever you wanna say to me, can be said in front of her.”
“Oh, well,” she said, then her shoulders dropped.
And then they straightened, and Jillian looked at Talia, “Surely you wouldn’t mind. Right?”

I shook my head, “Where Dominik goes, I go.”
I watched as that penetrated Jillian’s head.
And then I caught her flinch. And I knew why.
He hadn’t allowed her to call him Dominik.
My entire body melted.
Then I recalled what Dominik had told me about her.
And without thinking, I tore out of Dom’s grasp and marched to her.
I heard Dominik mutter, “Fuck me.”
I didn’t stop.
Her confusion at what I was doing was written clear as day on her face.
But her confusion would be wiped away in three, two, one, my hand came up, and I slapped her across her face as hard as I could.
She gasped, then stumbled to the side.
I growled, “That was for making him feel like he was less than. That was for making him feel like he wasn’t good enough. And bitch, if I could get away with it, I’d kill you for aborting his baby. You’re a disgrace.”
“It was my right,” she said.
I nodded, “Yeah. It was. As it’s every woman’s right. But the reason you did it, that’s why I want to kill you.”
Her face paled.
I snickered.
“Oh yeah, he found out. You deserve to have your vagina sewn up, you deceitful piece of trash. Who in the fuck aborts their baby because they have a forty percent chance of having Down Syndrome? I’ll tell you, someone who is tainting my oxygen. Get the fuck out of here, and don’t come back.” I snapped.
She lifted her upper lip and sneered, the effect of it was lost, due to the red handprint on her cheek, “You can’t tell me to leave, this is Dom’s. Oh, wait, and it’s mine. So, you need to get the fuck off my property.”
Then she looked around me, and smiled at Dominik, “I tried to do this peacefully, but well, fuck that. I want my half. I’m entitled to it.”
I felt Dominik come up behind me and wrap an arm around my waist, his fingers digging into the soft flesh on my belly.
