She smiles up at me as she pulls her thong back up her legs. "Me too." She kisses me on the cheek and straightens her hair. "I'm going to go clean up."
I watch her walk out of my office with a smile on my face.

The Party
Rosalie
Iwalkoutofthe bathroom and head straight for Juli. I tried my best to make it look like Matteo didn't just screw my brains out in his office. Not sure if I succeeded. When I finally make it to Juli's table I'm slightly out of breath.
She sets her drink down and laughs as she leans close to whisper, "Next time you want to fuck in public, make sure you're not banging the desk against the wall. I'm scarred for life."
My face goes pale. "You could hear us?"
She laughs, "I think I was the only one. I turned the music up to drown out the banging. You're lucky everyone has already moved out to the main room from the kitchen."
I put my hand over my mouth and laugh. "Well that's not embarrassing at all."
She shrugs. "It happens to the best of us."
Matteo and Luca arrive at the table at almost the same time. Matteo bends down to kiss me on the forehead. He places a drink in front of me and gives me a wink as he lowers himself into his chair next to me.
I look over at Luca. He's looking around the room with disgust written all over his face. "Happy birthday, Luca."
He turns to me and smiles. "Thanks Rosalie. I can't believe my mom talked me into all this."
I grab my drink and hold it in front of me. "Let's at least make the most of it. Cheers to new friends."
We all clink our drinks together and take a drink. I see Lorenzo walk into the kitchen out of the corner of my eye, followed by a few employees. A moment later big serving plates are being carried out and placed on the buffet table.
Matteo stands and clears his throat. Someone turns the music down, and everyone turns to look in our direction. "Thank you all for coming tonight to celebrate my best friend. You're a blessing to all of us, Luca." He raises his glass. "Cheers to the birthday boy." I hear an echo of cheers around the room. Matteo motions to the buffet table. "Dinner is served."
Luca goes first through the line. We all pile our plates high with way too much food, especially because we hit the dance floor as soon as we get done eating.
Matteo spins me around as we dance in the middle of the dance floor surrounded by our friends. Juli and I take turns singing "You're the One that I Want" from the movieGrease. Matteo and Luca laugh so hard I'm surprised they don't pass out.
Juli grabs my hand at the end of "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift, "Let's go out front to cool down." She fans her face with her hand. "It's getting so hot in here." I nod my head and look at Matteo to let him know where we're going.
He must have heard her because he leans down next to my ear and says, "I'll join you later. I've got to check on the kitchen."
I nod my head and follow Juli off the dance floor. We grab out bags from the table and fan our faces as we're handed two waters at the bar in the back of the room. I think I've had enough alcohol for the night. The cool night air is a relief as we walk out the front door. I pull my hair up off my neck and sit down on the curb. "I hadn't realized it was so hot in there."
Juli sits next to me. She holds her cold glass to her cheek. "I know. I was roasting. It's so fun to see Matteo loosen up a bit. I'm used to seeing Luca have a good time, but Matteo never dances. Ever."
I laugh, "They seem to be having fun. I guess Luca isn't as upset about the party as he was letting on."
Juli shakes her head. "He loves all the attention." She suddenly sits up straight. "Hey! Did you hear back about the job?"
I shrug. "I have no idea. I haven’t checked my email."
"Aren't you excited to find out if you got the job?"
I shake my head. "No. Not really. I'm kind of scared to find out to be honest."
She holds out her hand. "Give me your phone and I'll look. Knowing is better than not knowing."
I pull my phone out of my bag, unlock it, and hand it to her. She scrolls through my phone for a few agonizing moments before she settles her finger over the screen. "You got the email."
