“Our choices are limited, although there are enough to eat something different for a few rotations before repeating.”

The rest of the meal passed pleasantly. Afterward, they got the grooming supplies that Cayla needed and returned to Narzek’s cabin.

Chapter Nine

When they returned to Narzek’s cabin, about an hour later, he set Cayla’s supplies on the table in the dining nook to the right of the door and pulled her into his arms. Claiming her mouth in a deep, hot kiss, he pulled her tightly against him. Winding her arms around his neck, she swirled her tongue around his, tasting him as he tasted her.

Though she was a little sore from the unaccustomed sex, she couldn’t make herself resist. He just felt so damn good. Somehow, she found herself naked more quickly than seemed possible.

Narzek had removed his shirt and dropped his pants to apply a condom. He lifted her up so she could wrap her legs around him as he pressed her against the wall. By then, she was wet enough that he could slide his cock into her with just a bit of resistance as her inner walls stretched to fit him.

The pain was just enough to heighten the pleasure as he took her hard and fast against the wall. He held her ass cheeks with his hands so that her lower back didn’t get slammed against the wall with every thrust of his cock.

Cayla reveled in his ardor. She had never been fucked with such fervor, nor had she cum so hard as she screamed in ecstasy. They had been entirely in sync so that they orgasmed together.

Afterward, he held her tightly, pressing his face into her neck where it met her shoulder. Cayla held him as tightly, pressing her lips tenderly to his neck.

She didn’t think it was possible to fall in love so quickly, but she was undoubtedly infatuated. Sex with him was so good! Only, there was more than just hot sex between them. She liked him. Enough to commit for life? She didn’t know.

The next few days went about the same. They ate, slept, and had up to three rounds of sex a day. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other whenever they were alone.

On the fourth day, Narzek’s sister called through the ship’s AI communication network. Azur Pardantu cried when she saw her big brother on the screen.

“Oh, Narz. It is so good to see you. They separated us on the slave ship, so Mom and Jakkin went to different planets, and I don’t know which ones.”

“Don’t worry, Azur, we’ve just started looking. We’re going to keep looking as long as we can. There is a new house on our family property, waiting for you when you get back to Farseek. You’ll be headed there as soon as we fill theKurellis.

“But I will be there alone.”

“My friends Kragyn and Argen are there with theirsolmatus.I will let them know you are coming. There are also people from other worlds settling on Farseek. We rescued everyone who had been enslaved who wanted to come. Some were dropped off on other worlds, but many came to Farseek.”

“I wish I could come with you.”

“No, you don’t. Every system we stop in Sargan loyalist battleships could be waiting. I don’t even want mysolmatuto be here, but she was a warrior on her world.”

“You have asolmatu?

“Yes, I found her on Berrapo. Her friend Luanne Field was rescued from there as well. She is on your ship.”

“Luanne? I know her. She was in our workgroup but in another barrack. We’re friends. Who is yoursolmatu?”

“Cayla Fox.”

“Yes! Luanne told me about her. She will be so pleased that Cayla is safe. Is she there with you now?”

“She is. Cayla, come let me introduce you to Azur.”

Cayla moved into the camera view and smiled at Azur. She was a prettier version of Narzek, the same coloring, hair eyes, and shape of face, but feminine.

“I am pleased to meet you.”

“Me, too. Next time I call, I will have Luanne with me. Narzek, since our house has been rebuilt, can I invite Luanne to stay with me?”

“I think that would be great for you to have company,” he agreed. “I’m sure even if we find the others they would agree, at least until Luanne figures out how she will support herself. When we come back to Farseek we will probably build a home of our own.”

They talked a few more minutes before Azur ran out of time. With so many people trying to connect with friends and relatives, they were only allotted a few minutes to talk. They were instead encouraged to send text messages because they transmitted so much faster.

Narzek was smiling when the call ended, and so was Cayla, even though she didn’t get to speak with her friend. He took her into his arms and kissed the top of her head as he held her.
