“What are you going to do? You don’t have jurisdiction over their territory.”
“Without orders, we can’t do anything. The Enclave will have to petition the Federation. It was not legal for me to come to get you out of White’s compound. Commander Dark officially told me that and looked the other way.”
“So even though you know Stockman and his pals abducted a bunch of people, you can’t go after them?”
“I can’t go after them in overlord territory. I will just set up surveillance at the Quonset hut and move in when they return,” he murmured, nibbling on her earlobe. “But I don’t want to talk about that now. I just want you.”
“And you have me.”
Darken repositioned himself so he could kiss her mouth. Gina slid her arms around him as she responded to his kiss.
