“Yes.”

“I was worried that you might… I mean, after last night I wasn’t sure that today you’d still…”

“I do.”

“Alright. I’ll clear the stage.”

“I’ll go get grilled by your sister.”

“Totally. She’s very nosy and really wants me to have a boyfriend. Sorry.”

“I’ll survive. She’s… I really like her.”

“And me?”

“Oh, I think you can figure that out.”

“Four days. I’ve only known you for four days. This could… If either one of us starts to… You know, feel differently, we have to be honest with each other.”

“Agreed.”

“Ok… Good. I’ll clear the stage so you can… What are you doing?”

“I’m going to do some barre work. I can use a chair if I need to.”

“I think we have a barre form when we did A Chorus Line. I’ll see if I can find it. I’ll have to go check out storage.”

“Ok… That would be great.”

“I’ll see you in about an hour.”

“That’s a long… See you in an hour.”

I watched him walk across the stage and marveled at how his body moved. God, he was pretty. In those shorts, his ass was a true thing of beauty.

I walked out the backstage door and opened our large storage building, where we kept all of our set pieces. After moving a few things around, I found the barre in the upper storage space. I grabbed it and brought it back inside after checking some of the large set pieces I’d use for Annie. The wood was still good, but I’d need to replace a few of the braces.

I carried it onto the stage and started moving the large wooden blocks off to the wings.

After an hour of sweaty work, I heard the door open.

“Finn?” I walked around the curtain and saw Buffy standing there.

“You’ve been holding out on me,” she said crossly.

“It just… happened.”

“What happened?”

“We kissed, ok? Last night at Pints and pool. It just happened.”

“Liar. Nothing just happens with you.”

“What do you want me to say? He’s hot and I… I like him, alright. He’s not like everyone else around here, and I find him interesting. I thought this was what you wanted?”

“I did, but… Look, you know that I adore you, and I really like him. But what if this doesn’t work out? We all work together.”

“We know. We’re being… smart.”
