“No one. We’ve been… busy and I haven’t seen the guys.”

“So, are you two like… together?” She asked hopefully.

I looked at Finn and grinned. “I mean, we’re not official, I guess.”

“I’m not seeing anyone else.”

“Well, do you want to?”

“I thought we already were.”

“Alright.” I chuckled.

“Boys,” Buffy shook her head sadly. “I really wished I was a lesbian.” She hugged us both. “This makes me very happy. Now, don’t fuck it up. We have Annie auditions for the kids in about an hour.”

“Fuck…” Finn huffed. “I was in a good mood. Do you know any of the kids who are auditioning? Are they any good?”

“I think you will be very surprised.” Buffy winked and went back into the office.

“I guess the cat’s out of the bag,” I murmured into his ear before biting his lobe gently.

“She didn’t seem too upset.” He grinned happily.

“She’s not. She really likes you a lot. Maybe more than she does me.”

“I think… if we’re going to be official, maybe we should go out on a real date that isn’t takeout.”

“I don’t know. My boss barely pays me, so…”

“Asshole.”

“I’ve been thinking of yours all day.”

“I bet you could get lucky if you play your cards right. But first…”

“The fucking sun will come out tomorrow. I know? Come on, the music director should be coming soon. You’re gonna love him.”

The auditions went well. Finn was impressed by the kids, and by the end of their dance audition, he looked at us and grinned.

“I think the show is actually gonna be good,” he whispered.

Buffy and I both laughed, and I couldn’t wait to rip his clothes off.

Auditions went very well, to my surprise. I found the perfect Annie, and she could actually sing. She was also one of the better dancers, and she was only ten years old. I was impressed. There were ten other girls who sang on key and picked up the steps pretty quickly.

But it was the adults who really surprised me. I could have double cast the show with the talent that auditioned. I found the perfect Grace, who had a gorgeous voice, and a Warbucks who used to be an opera singer and had a bald head. The talent for a community theatre in Foggy Basin was no joke. I was surprised that I was looking forward to starting rehearsals.

I still hated the show.

But the audience was going to love it.

Over the next few days, I approved designs, and when Finn tried to show me his lighting plot, I just kissed him to get him to shut up. I knew nothing, and I trusted him. That was all I needed. His set designs were great, and I couldn’t wait to walk into the theatre and watch him build them. I’d be sure to turn the air conditioning off so he’d get really sweaty.

It was hot.
