“I know the other girls sleep, but I needed to talk,” she said, keeping her voice soft.

“What’s up?” I asked, tryna keep my face neutral.

She looked down at her fingers for a second before glancing at me. “I hate how I been thinkin’ about Pressure all day.”

My stomach dropped.

“What you mean?” I asked, tryna sound casual.

Pluto sighed. “Last night when I was in his bed… I ain’t gon’ lie, I didn’t wanna leave. I felt safe. Like… protected. That’s weird, right? I mean, I barely know him.”

I stared at her, wondering how the hell she’d feel if she knew he was just balls deep in me less than an hour ago.

“What are you thinkin’ now?” I asked, my throat dry.

She hesitated, then leaned in a little closer. “I was thinking about going to his room tonight… just to lay with him and see what happens.”

My body tensed up, but I forced a laugh. “Girl, you bold as hell.”

She smiled. “I mean… he already held me once. What’s one more night?”

I didn’t know what to say. Of course, I didn’t want her in that nigga bed after he just rearranged my insides in the hot tub, but I couldn’t tell her that. I couldn’t hurt her or make this about me, so I played it cool.

“Maybe you should let him come to you,” I said softly. “You don’t wanna look like you chasin’ him. If he really want you, he’ll show you.”

She stared at me for a second, like she was tryna read what I wasn’t saying. Then she nodded.

“Yeah… you right.”

She got up and climbed back in her bunk, turning her book light off and rolling over.

But my ass… I couldn’t sleep.

I laid back on the bed, staring at the door, wishing I was still outside in that water, with Pressure’s arms around me and his voice in my ear telling me to take that dick.

I had no business falling for that man, but my body already had. And now I ain’t know how to turn that shit off.

Trill-Land, Jungle Estate

It was finally time to drop another woman like dead weight, and I was in my office with Renza, Kay’Lo, and Blaqson tryna sort through the chaos in my head. The office was low-lit with smoke hangin’ in the air, and a glass of brown liquor on the table in front of me, half gone. Renza was laid back on the suede couch with his feet kicked up, rollin’ a blunt like he wasn’t on the clock. Kay’Lo was posted near the bar, one hand nursin’ a drink, the other flickin’ through his phone, and Blaqson had a plate of breakfast in his lap, smackin’ like he just escaped prison.

“I had Pluto in my bed the other night,” I said.

Kay’Lo’s head turned quick. “Oh, word?”

Renza damn near dropped the blunt. “Nigga… say less.”

“Nah, not like that,” I told them. “She a damn virgin.”

Renza’s eyes widened and then he cracked up like I’d just told him the best joke he heard all month. “A virgin? Inthishouse? You lyin’, bro.”

“She told me herself,” I said, leanin’ back. “And I believe her. She ain’t got that thirst like the rest of them. She got a good heart, but… I don’t know if I’m built for that.”

Kay’Lo cut in, “You sayin’ you don’t wanna be her first?”

“It ain’t that,” I said. “It’s just… when you take somethin’ like that, it come with a whole different weight. I’m tryna figure out if she really know what she want or if she just tryna escape somethin’.”

Renza leaned forward, still grinnin’. “You overthinkin’ it. Shit, if I found out one of them was a virgin, I would’ve married heron sight. That’s rare.”
