Kelsey cocked her head. “Sure.”
“He doesn’t like kissing. Actually, he’s never kissed me. If you can get Mr. Hayes to kiss you, you’re way ahead of me inthatgame.”
“That’s not too surprising. A lot of men don’t like to kiss the women they hire, I hear. Makes it too real for them.”
Too real…That would be one way to explain Noah’s attitude.
“Anyway… thanks for the talk.” Kelsey finally stood, fixing her tight skirt one last time. “I feel much better now. Who knew that I needed to talk to a stranger in the bathroom?”
“I wish you luck. Honestly.”
Kelsey motioned for Lucy to take her hand. “Let’s go back out there and make sure Mr. Hayes hasn’t sent Mr. Gabriel on a homicidal rampage. They seem like that kind of friendship.”
Lucy couldn’t agree more.
