Elise slaps my arm lightly.

“You know what I mean—Jude likes you.”

“Yeah, but why isn’t he jealous of the other guys then?”

Sian and Elise shrug.

“We’re kind of a family, the six of us, and you're someone special that we've let in. Even though Jack has all these connections, and obviously, we have family, we really don't let a lot of people into our circle.”

I smile at her explanation, touched to be included.

“All right. We're going to shift and fly overhead. If you need anything, call out to us,” Sian directs.

I nod and thank them before turning around to see that Jack’s already turned. Jude helps me onto his back.

“I overheard the birds tell you already, but remember if you need anything, just holler.”

I realize he's going to be turning into his bug and flying overhead. I try not to shudder.

“Don'tfly into my hair,” I command sternly, making him smirk.

“Quit telling me what to do, and I might not.”

I quickly zip my lips. If he flies into my hair there's a good chance I’ll involuntarily smash him, and then, I would be devastated. Harry shifts into his pack mule, and Theo jumps on holding a shifted Arthur in his arms.

“Why isn't Arthur hopping—erm, running?” I wonder.

“It's just easier this way. He's light enough to hold, and he’s not meant to travel long distances on foot,” Theo fills in.

We start making our way North, and the silence reminds me that I’m supposed to be talking.

“Ok, so my story, huh? Well, I guess I need to tell you guys anyways what happened,” I state since I never told everyone what happened with Dr. Fuckface and Dean FirmPhallus did. This is going to take a while…”

Theo shrugs.

“We’re going to the Highlands via donkey; it’s going to take a bit. On the bright side, though, Jack and Harry are strong and are able to go for a long time.”

Harry makes some muffled sound, and I stifle a laugh. I don’t speak ass, but I’m pretty for sure he just said,“That’s what she said!”

Pulling myself together, I think of where to begin. It’s a pretty convoluted story, but it all comes back to one thing—

“Once upon a time, there was a sex addict…”

Harry the Pack Mule gives me a side look, as if to say,“A sex addict?”

“Yes,” I confirm, assuming this is what he's thinking, “and that sex addict was me—isme.”

The pack mule waggles his eyebrows. It is both disturbing and hilarious because I didn't know donkeys could do that. Jack tries to kick him with his hind legs from the side and almost tips me off.

“Behave,” I tut at him before snapping to Harry, “and you focus! I swear you need the help almost as much as I do, you horndog!Thisis how it all started. A wink here, an innuendo there—it's a slippery slope, I tell you! And once you start falling down it, you can't climb back up.Iknew I needed to get some help; so, I went to Sexaholics Anonymous. Except, well, that turned out to be…Theo, what are you guys?”

“Shifter's Anonymous,” he reminds me. “It's a group we started for Primaries who just didn't feel like they had a place in the world.”

Arthur croaks sadly.

“Well, I think it's a wonderful group. I know that Jude said you tend to just stick together with your own kind, but I think it's marvelous you've branched out and made friends. I especially love that you all accept one another in a world that Jude said isn't very accepting. But, going back, I didn't know that everyone there at Shifter’s Anonymous was a shifter—I didn’t even know what a shifter was! I thought they were all normal human sexaholics…if you would call thatnormal. In fact, I'm pretty for sure our first three meetings were just absolute miscommunication—I thought everyone was hitting on me in a really weird British way!” Jack lets out a donkey snort, making me chuckle. “Well, you can't blame a gal for hoping! Anyway, it turns out that they can turn into animals, which now leads us to Dean Stiffdick and Dr. Fuckface.”

“Who?” Theo wonders.
