Turning back to him, she narrowed her eyes as though that would somehow make deciphering if he was being honest easier.“So, you’rerecentlysingle?”

He nodded.“I’ll spare you the details, but yes.Completely unattached.”He held up his hands with his fingers splayed.

Immediately, she zoned in on his left hand.No tan line.No indent on the ring finger. All signs pointed to him not being married at least.Maybe.

He placed it over his chest.“Scout’s honor.”

She smirked.“I thought you weren’t a very good Boy Scout?”

He smiled.“I’m better at some stuff than others.”

Marissa could definitely attest to that.Running her fingers through her hair, she let out a deep sigh.“You’re offering me a chance to swim with dolphins for free?”

“Yep.”He nodded.

When would another opportunity like that present itself? She’d be a fool not to accept it.The only plans she and her friends had were to sun themselves on the beach, go shopping, and hit up a few bars.

“Can I get back to you in the morning?”she asked.“I have to run this by Carolyn and everyone before I abandon them for dolphins.”

Using her friends as an excuse would buy her the opportunity to think this over.Though, the pros kind of outweighed the cons.

His smile returned, and he seemed relieved.“Of course. We cannot anger the bride-to-be.”

She chuckled with him.

Was she making a mountain out of a molehill? She couldn’t go back in time andunfuckBeau. What was done was done. She didn’thaveto sleep with him again to enjoy the porpoises. So why shouldn’t she accept his offer? She only lived once.

Marissa hoped her friends wouldn’t be upset about the idea. They had been supportive, if not pushing her, to hang out with Beau. Why would they stop with an excursion?

Because it would take her away from spending the day with them but not a lot.How long could this activity really take? They were going to be in Cozumel for something like eight hours.Surely, they could handle one or two without her company.

Right?

It was just something to do on vacation—Beau was just something she did on vacation.

“We can meet up with them for breakfast to discuss it,” he suggested.

She lifted her brows.“Oh?”She turned toward him.“We?”

He wrapped his arms around her and kissed her temple.“Yeah.If you don’t mind, I’d enjoy it if you spent the night. You’re already here, and we’re both dressed for bed.”

“We’re naked,” she scoffed.

He cocked his head to the side.“Do you wear clothes when you sleep?”

She opened her mouth to answer, but only more laughter came out.Of course, she wore pajamas.Well, usually. Then again, the idea of going bare beside him would mean there would be another opportunity for a repeat performance. She licked her bottom lip as she considered that temptation.

What had her friends said about what happened on the boat?It stayed on the boat.Taking a deep breath, she mentally nodded. This was a no-strings-attached situation. It wasn’t real life. What people did on vacation didn’t count, so her conscience should be clear.

With a wry smile, she gave him a purposeful once-over.“Not tonight, I guess.”

Beau

Threecondomsdown, andBeau wasn’t sure how many remained. He definitely would take steps to make sure they didn’t run out. They might only have two more days left on the ship, but if they kept at this pace, they might want to invest in Trojan.

Waking up to a naked Marissa had definitely inspired him.As did the suds gliding down her back as he worked the shampoo through her hair. The shower was tight, and physics said having sex in such a cramped space was impossible, but somehow, they made it work.
