“Good girl.” He kissed down her spine, smacking her ass again as he sat back. He set his hands on her hips and stared at where she dripped for him. He brought his finger up, teasing the outside of her, enjoying the way she grumbled and dropped her head on the bed. “What’s wrong, kitten?” He slid a finger into her, and her whole body trembled. “Feeling like youneedme inside you?”

She couldn’t remember needing anything else. “Yes, Nex.”

“Do you want me or need me?” He slid his fingers out and pulled away, not touching her at all.

Kat whimpered, her body cold without his touch. “Ineedyou.”

“You need me to fuck you, kitten?” He pressed his tip against her, and she tensed, adjusting her knees to be more open for him.

“Yes. I need you.”

His hand collided with her ass in a loudsmack. “Say it again.”

Kat panted and craved another. “I need you.”

He caressed her, then brought his hand down.Slap.“Again.”

Kat pushed herself back against him. “I need you, Nex.”

Nex groaned and gripped her hips, holding her in place as he thrust into her hard. She cried out and clenched around him, pleasure exploding shudders through her body.

“Who do you belong to?” Nex growled, smacking her ass before caressing it, easing the sting.

A guttural moan escaped when he sank deeper. “You.”

“Good girl.”

No longer holding back, Nex moved in and out of her. His hand glided up her spine, and grabbed the back of her neck, pinning her to the bed. Raising her hips with his other hand, he sank in harder.

Kat cried out, clenching around Nex and making him groan. It wasn’t just the intensity of the action; it was the trust she had with him and only him. The way he cared for her. The way she saw another side of him, a side she very much liked. She wanted to see all his sides as he wanted to see hers.

Much more than physical, every motion brought them closer together until they were one. Nex moved wildly, restraining her and sinking deep and hard when he came. He groaned when she tightened around him, finding her own release and trembling as she screamed. Her whole body tensed and relaxed over and over before she slumped on the bed.

Breathless, Nex kissed her back and caressed her ass while he slid out. He turned her over, untied her wrists, removed the blindfold, and caught her in a soft kiss. Kat moaned and hugged him, enjoying the comfort of his arms holding her close after that intensity.

“You didn’t use the safe word.” He kissed her cheeks, forehead, lips, jaw. All soft and light. “You promised me you would if it was too much.”

“I didn’t need to use it.” Kat struggled to catch her breath. “It wasn’t too much.”

“Fuck, Katherine, you’re so perfect,” Nex murmured against her lips. “So fucking perfect, my kitten. My angel, I . . .” He stopped at the words that almost escaped. Words he’d never said to anyone. Words he didn’t think he was capable of saying. There was no denying what she meant to him, but he couldn’t say it, so he opted for something less terrifying. “I’m glad you summoned me too.” He rolled to his back and drew her to his chest, thinking the words he couldn’t bring himself to say, keeping them locked in his mind as the realization of what he felt sank in.

He wasn’t supposed to be able to feel anything like this, but he couldn’t deny it. Kat was everything to him. He’d never been more himself, more at peace, than with her. He’d never craved something as simple as a hug with anyone but her.

He’d never been able to stop the self-loathing over being a demon until she made him think he could be something better.

There was no denying it, but he couldn’t bring himself to say it, only allowing himself to admit it within his own mind.

I love you.

The bell dinged, announcing the door opening. Her gaze shot up, hoping for Nex but finding a customer. He passed in front of a display, concealing his face. It didn’t matter. She said the same thing to every customer.

“Welcome to Connie’s. How can I help you?”
