“That I did,” he said as he laid next to me. We were catching our breath. He pulled me close to him and I wrapped my legs into his.

“Is it weird to get undressed now, after the main event? Your jeans are interfering with my leg rubs.”

“Main event,” he said as he laughed and then flipped on top of me, “I’m just getting started.” He leaned to kiss me hard before he started pulling my clothes off. I could get used to this.

Chapter 17

Lucy

My alarm blared. I reached over to hit the snooze button and a huge arm reached over and pulled me across the bed. His body was warm against mine. I felt dehydrated and tired, but also completely limp and satisfied. We were up into the wee hours as Jason pleasured me in every corner of my room, in ways I never experienced before.

“Good morning. Sleep well?” he asked through my curls sending goosebumps down my arms.

I grabbed his arm, pulling it even closer to me. “I think I died a little last night, then came back to life again. Then passed out.” The bed shook as he tried not to laugh at me.

“Umm, you flatter me.” He kissed my head then I felt him roll off the bed. I needed coffee and probably a hearty breakfast to recover from last night. If I didn’t feel so good, I would have assumed I was hungover.

I tossed my robe on and headed to the kitchen for coffee. Amy was still asleep, but the coffee was brewed. She was good about making sure we had hot coffee when we woke up.

Jason had gotten dressed and came to get coffee.

“Why don’t you get ready for work, and I’ll go grab us some breakfast?” he asked as I poured him some coffee.

“Are you a mind reader? That’s not fair!” I leaned in for a quick kiss.

“No, not a mind reader. But I know my talents,” he said with a smug face. “Plus, I’m starving, and you need to eat. I haven’t seen you eat much in days.”

I looked over at him in shock before finally forcing out, “You notice that kinda thing?”

He nodded as he took a sip of coffee, “Sure, I worry about you. You normally order something at the club for dinner and haven’t in days and I haven’t seen you have anything except water, coffee, and beer in that time.”

I was still shocked that he noticed such things but realized he was right. “Well, if it helps, I did play with a donut while I waited on you to be bailed out Monday.”

“I’m serious. I’ll get anything you want. But you can’t live off liquids. So, tell me what you want, or I’ll guess and make you eat it anyway.”

I shrugged. I wasn’t picky.

“Surprise me.” He took down the rest of his coffee then kissed me and headed to the door.

“Okay, leave the door open in case you’re still in the shower.” Then he was gone.

I was walking to the bathroom and heard Amy shuffle to the kitchen.

“Hey, bitch. You might need to stay at his place tonight. You’re too damn loud.” She poured her coffee without looking up at me and I just grinned and kept going to my room.

He got back with a selection of bagels, cream cheese, and fruit once I was nearly dressed.

Amy jumped off the sofa to help herself. “Okay, I take it back. You guys stay here all the time, and he can serve us breakfast.”

We ate at the small table, enjoying the coffee and the company. Amy jumped up when she was finished.

“Where are you rushing off to?” I asked between bites.

“Well, I was going to tell you last night, but it sounded like wild kingdom in there. But I got a call from the gallery downtown for an interview. So, I need to go get fabulous!”

I jumped up and ran to her. “Oh my God this is amazing! You’re totally gonna nail it! What are you wearing?”

Amy grabbed my arms. “Calm down, it’s just an interview. I may not get it. These places are so competitive. Anyway, I gotta get ready.” She started to turn but then turned back. “And to answer your question, the suit.” Then she walked away.
