Hammer turned around. “I told you to stay put.”

“You’re not my man, motherfucker,” the blonde said with a middle finger then walked out the side door, also slamming it.

“Jesus fucking Christ,” Hammer mumbled. “What the fuck was all the noise?”

Sipping my coffee, I shrugged. “Allie showed up and apparently was bored.”

Hammer looked around, noticing Sofie watching him with big saucer eyes. “Hey Sofie. Hammer don’t like mornings very much,” he told her.

“I was quiet,” she answered.

I leaned closer to him. “Maybe you should go ask Allie for a bump. It’ll perk you right up.”

Hammer scowled. “I’d rather eat coffee grinds.” I wasn’t sure if he meant rather than a bump or speaking to my sister.

“Thought you said no strangers in the house.” I looked at him over my mug.

“Well, I’m the fucking president, so I can change my mind, can’t I?” he asked as he poured coffee. “Someone needs to make another pot,” Hammer said before taking his coffee and heading back upstairs.

Glenda called out, “Well, good morning, everyone!”

Linny giggled as she sipped her coffee then stepped outside with Allie.

One big happy family. Today should be interesting.

Chapter 32

Bama

We hung out at the beach for a while with the ladies, but I wanted to take Linny riding around and maybe stop at some of the events before I had to hook back up with Hammer for club business later. Glenda offered to watch Sofie, and Pinkie said she’d be at the house to keep an eye on her until she got ready for dinner.

Allie opted to come out with us and talked Butterbean into letting her ride with him. We left on the Harleys after we all showered and changed. I made sure Linny wore her cut. It wasn’t quite dinnertime, but my plan was to get into a restaurant before it got slammed. We needed time to grab a bite to eat thengo check out some of the shows, and I wanted to let her shop some of the vendors.

We had a little wait at Shuckum’s, so we grabbed her and Sofie t-shirts and hoodies as souvenirs. We ordered a bucket of beer and a dozen oysters on the half shell. Allie and Linny got along well, and Butterbean was always easy company.

“How you liking the rally, Linny?” Butterbean asked.

“I haven’t really seen much besides a buttload of bikers and this place. But the food is good here!” she shouted across the table. We all ordered dinner, but she was slamming beers more than eating. Sofie was in good hands, though, and today was about her. If she wanted to kick back, I was going to let her.

“Don’t worry. We’ll be making some stops after this. Just making sure you ate.”

Allie grabbed another beer from the tub. “It’s fun. Just a lot of stuff and shows. And hot bikers everywhere.”

“She’s good,” I said, finishing my beer. I wasn’t pounding them as fast as they were. If it was just me, I may have had more, but Linny was riding with me, so I wanted a straight head.

Linny giggled, wrapping her tiny hand around my wrist. “Don’t worry, babe. Nobody is as hot as you.”

I grabbed her hand, kissing her knuckles. Allie clutched her chest. “Oh my God, you gotta stop. Butterbean–”

He dropped his fork, holding his hands up. “Nope,” he said, still chewing. Once he swallowed, he said, “You’re lucky I brought you with me. I don’t need any shit.”

Allie rolled her eyes. “Nobody’s gonna give you shit about me, Butterbean.”

He let out a belly laugh, and I stifled one as well. “Okay. Keep telling yourself that.”

“Anways,” Allie said as she rolled her eyes. “Y’all, hurry up and finish. I’m ready to have some fun.”

After we settled up at the restaurant, we cruised down the strip, stopping at different places with tents set up. It was still early and the sun was bright, but the temps weren’t too hot.
