Her hand stuttered at the endearment, but soon it was moving again before she lined him up to her center. “No, we both did.” Autumn rubbed his dick against her clit, her breath coming in hotter and faster with each tap of the head. “I put myself on the pill at my last doctor’s appointment.”
Felix stared into her eyes, seeing how much their being nothing between them seemed to mean to her. “Are you sure?” Coherent thoughts were hard to come by at the moment, but Felix wanted to make sure that above everything else, he was taking care of her and giving her exactly what she wanted.
“I’m sure, Fe.” She angled her hips to where he slipped into her an inch, trying not to blow his load at how good it was to feel her warm walls gripping him tightly with nothing between them. “You’ll give this to me, won’t you?”
Felix nodded and pressed himself in another couple of inches. “You know I will,” he said, voice strained. There was nothing more he wanted in that moment than to drive into her as hard as he could, but Felix also knew that he would go off the second he did that. This was something he wanted to last for as long as possible. Slowly, inch by inch, Felix continued to make his way into her until he was fully seated, moaning as Autumn squeezed him from the inside. Spearing her with a knowing look, Felix pushed against her, earning a moan of his own. “You’re feisty in the bedroom.”
Autumn smiled as her hands gripped the globes of his ass and pulled him in once again. “Is that a complaint?”
Felix shook his head, pulling out and slamming into her as hard as he dared without tempting his body to give into the release that had been building since the moment she walked towards the bed. “Hell no.” He repeated the action, loving the way her breasts jiggled when he pushed himself into her again and again. “I love everything about it.”
Felix loved everything about Autumn too, but he was too afraid to say it lest she think it was something that he only meant in that moment. I love you was something he would mean forever, and he meant to tell her that as soon as he knew she would hear it without question.
Soon all talking ceased and the only conversation happening was the one between their two bodies. Felix slid into her repeatedly, crashing his hips against her body as he grunted and gasped against her mouth before taking her lips in another searing kiss. Autumn’s legs wrapped around his back, essentially locking him into place. Felix was happy to exist there for the rest of his life, doing nothing more than making love to her and eating and sleeping just enough to be able to do it all over again.
Autumn’s hands roamed his back before slipping into his hair, her fingers stroking the strands he’d already dismissed cutting again in favor of growing them out once more. Long hair was a nuisance, but he could tell she liked it better than way, and anything Autumn liked, he liked even more. Besides, it would give her something to pull when he went down on her, something Felix also planned to do for the rest of his life.
Felix got so caught up in making his sexy plans that his hips stuttered for a moment when he almost came. Needing to get her there first, he reached his hand between them and started rubbing her clit, pressing the hot button as hard and often as he thrust into her.
“Come for me, Love,” he commanded.
Autumn’s eyes widened as she stared at him before the irises lit up to a color of gray that was silvery and reminded him of moonlight, her mouth opening on a silent scream as he felt her walls flutter and clamp down onto him. Felix sighed happily as he watched her enjoy her orgasm before finally allowing himself to give into the white hot fire that had traveled up and down his spine and spilled his warmth into her with a grunt of satisfaction. Leaning down, he kissed her briefly before pulling out and rolling to the side, making sure to take her along with him. Having Autumn plastered against him in any situation was wonderful, but post-coital was definitely one of the better ones.
“Thank you,” Autumn whispered. The words were grateful, but her tone sounded remorseful, almost as if she was saying goodbye.
Felix huffed at the impossibility of that and kissed the top of her head. Sleep was threatening to overtake him, so he must have been hearing things. “I told you, no thanks necessary.” Pulling her as close to him as she could possibly get, Felix relaxed into the bed and thought of the future, one that would include the woman in his arms. He would make sure of it.
Chapter Twenty
Autumn
Doing one final twirl in front of the mirror, Autumn smiled as the silky blue fabric of her floral cocktail dress billowed out, making her look like a flower whose petals were just blooming. With her hair up in a French twist and her nails free of clay and actually coated in polish for once, she felt like a fancier, girlier version of herself. No one would ever label her a tomboy, but her sense of style skewed casual most of the time. Today, Autumn felt as though she’d stepped right out of the pages of a fairy tale, giving her the sense that this day was extra special. Beckett and Willa’s wedding was already going to be a significant event for everyone in attendance, but there was a lightness in Autumn’s chest that spoke to something more.
The feeling could be attributed to any number of things, but Autumn was pretty sure it had to do with Felix and the way she felt about him. When he’d come into her room the evening prior, catching her looking at their photo wall and replaying every memory on a loop in her mind, she’d felt settled. The decision about whether or not to go home with her parents still hung over her like a dark cloud, but just being in Felix’s presence had brought out the sun a little. When Autumn was with him, it was as if she was basking in the warmth and cheer of a summer day. How could she possibly give that up?
Pushing thoughts of leaving off for another time, Autumn made her way down the steps of the apartment and out into the orchard. If Autumn thought that the party at Lottie’s house two evenings prior had been decorated beautifully, she needed to find a new word to describe just how gorgeous the setup for Beckett and Willa’s actual wedding was. The apple trees were in full bloom, creating a gorgeous backdrop for where the wedding ceremony and reception would take place. Wooden folding chairs filled with well-wishers faced an arch covered in pink and white flowers that matched those on the trees, and white fabric ran from the arch back toward the main house where Autumn assumed that Willa would be coming from as she walked toward her future husband.
