“Thank you. For being willing to do all that for me. It means a lot.”

Felix pressed his lips against hers. “You mean a lot.” One kiss turned into two, and those turned into far more until he and Autumn were tumbling around in the sheets, all thoughts of anything other than expressing their love to one another forgotten.

By the time Felix andAutumn finally made their way back to the reception, the sun was lower in the sky and twinkle lights shined over the dance floor where couples swayed to the music courtesy of a tablet and a few well-placed speakers. Currently, the song “I’m Yours” by Jason Mraz was wafting through the air and Felix couldn’t think of a more perfect song to dance to with the woman he loved. Escorting her over to the dance floor, Felix spun her once before bringing her back into his arms. He smiled at the blush that was still on her cheeks from the time they’d spent up in their bed a few moments ago and brushed her hair that was now down over the tops of her shoulders.

“You look beautiful tonight. Have I told you that?” Felix couldn’t keep his eyes off her and not just because of how gorgeous Autumn looked in her dress, but because of what an amazing person she was and how lucky he felt to be able to be with her, love her, and be loved by her.

Autumn dipped her head shyly before smiling up at him. “You did.” She leaned up on her tiptoes and whispered near his ear. “But that’s when I wasn’t wearing any clothes.”

Felix coughed to try and stave off sprouting an erection at his brother’s wedding. “Well, I meant it then and I mean it now.” Taking their joined hands, he placed them over his heart. “You are the most beautiful woman I have ever met, and I love you.”

The smile on her face could have lit up the entire dancefloor. “I love you too.”

Felix leaned down to kiss her, but stopped when another dancer bumped into him. He turned to see who could possibly be so clumsy, only to smile when he saw his older brother Beckett. “Hey, congratulations.”

Beckett chuckled as he held onto his wife. “I suppose the same could be said to you.” He nodded at Felix and Autumn as they held each other tightly before leaning closer into Felix’s space. “And no worries about missing the dinner. I figured you were, um, a little busy.” He winked at Felix and pulled back.

Willa chuckled at her husband before smiling at the other couple. “Oh, by the way, Felix. Your suspenders are on backwards.” Beckett barked a laugh and spun his wife away as Felix looked down at the twisted straps over his shirt.

Autumn smiled and started to straighten them out for him. “I guess we were a little too caught up to put these back on the right way.”

Felix stilled her hands and brought them up to his mouth. “Not sorry in the least.” They continued to hold one another and dance slowly long after the song had ended.

Later that night after they’d told Autumn’s parents all about their plans and laid in bed, sweaty and spent after another round of lovemaking, Felix turned to the woman he loved and kissed the top of her shoulder. “You know, I was thinking about something.”

Autumn smiled and stroked his damp hair. “And what was that?”

Felix looked around the apartment they’d shared for the last six years and pulled her closer. “What if I didn’t sell my recipes, but instead I expanded my business a little?” At Autumn’s raised brow, he continued. “Well, clearly my ciders are popular enough that a distributor was willing to buy them, so what if instead I got someone to invest some money. If I move some things around, expand into the cellar and space next door, I can set up an even bigger cider mill and make larger batches, hire more people.” He licked his dry lips, wondering if she would be up for all these changes. “We could even move into a different apartment, you know. Make new memories while staying in the town that made us who we are in the first place. What do you think?”

Autumn gazed up at Felix. A smile slowly spread across her face before she kissed him. “I think that sounds great. I like the idea of combining the old with the new.”

“Me too,” he said. As they lost themselves in one another again, Felix couldn’t remember the last time he felt so happy, but then, some memories weren’t necessary to enjoy what you presently had, and what he had was the woman he loved most in the world with him for the rest of his life.
