I woke up to the sun fluttering in through the window and the soft sound of Elliott’s quiet snoring. Smiling softly to myself, I started tracing patterns on her bare shoulder as I thoughtabout the amazing night we had.
Feeling movement by my feet, I lifted my head off the pillow and grinned as Mia laidcurled up against my legs with her head resting on my thigh.
Reaching a hand down, I gently stroked her fur as she slowly opened up her eyes. Mialicked my hand before resting her head back on my legs. Turning to put my head down on thepillow, I saw Elliott staring at me.
"Good morning, beautiful," I mumbled, sleep lacing my voice. "How are you feeling?"
"Like I could go for round two. Or three, depending on how you look at it," she answered seductively as she trailed a finger along my bare chest. A twinkle appeared in her eye as she attempted to roll on top of me, but Mia wouldn't budge.
"Who would've thought that she'd be a cock blocker already?" I laughed as I fell back onto the bed. Elliott chuckled softly as she shook her head and leaned over to press a quick kissto my lips.
"We have tonight, babe," She told me as she bent down to pet Mia so she'd lift her head. "Are we doing karaoke with Kay and Benji again?"
Once Mia lifted her head, Elliott quickly flipped the blankets off her and slid out. She sauntered over to the bathroom naked, taking her time, no doubt trying to tease me a little bit. She disappeared into the bathroom and came back with her robe tied around her.
"That's the plan," I answered, climbing out of bed and walking up to her. "But if youdon't stop teasing me like that, we aren't going to make it out of this room at all today."
She turned to look at me in all my naked glory, and she bit her lip as she tried her best to maintain eye contact while she leaned in the doorway. Rolling her eyes, she tried to brush past me but instead I quickly wrapped my arms around her from behind.
"Sure you don't want another go at it right now?" I whispered huskily in her ear before I started to slowly kiss down her neck.
"Yeah, let's not," Kara said as she opened the bedroom door just enough so we could hear her. "El, we're supposed to be meeting my mom for lunch soon. Can you be ready in twenty minutes?"
"Shit," she mumbled. "Of course, honey. I'll be out in like fifteen minutes."
She pried my hands off her and quickly ran over to her closet. I watched as she grabbed asimple tee and a pair of jean shorts, stripping out of her robe and swiftly putting on a bra and underwear. Walking back into the bedroom as she threw the shirt over her head, I closed the gap between us and started to tickle her sides which caused her to squeal.
"Coop, stop," she laughed uncontrollably as she finally got her shirt on and tried to get away from me. "I seriously need to get ready."
I sighed but obliged. Turning around, she looped her arms around my neck and pulled me down to her before she kissed me. I wasted no time as I sucked her bottom lip between my teeth,but she put a hand on my chest to stop me.
"Oh, come on," I complained as I fell down onto her bed. "That usually works."
"Not when I have plans I have to attend to," she informed me, throwing her hair up in a messy bun. I watched her intently as she put on some light makeup before slipping into herfavorite pair of sandals and walking over to me.
"I'm sorry, baby," I apologized as I sat up and put my hands on her hips. "I'm just happy is all. I want to spend all day with you."
"You're so sweet, Benny, but we got all the time in the world," she told me with a wink as she spun on her heel to exit the room.
"How long are you going to continue to use that against me?" I yelled after her, pulling my clothes back on.
Turning to look at me over her shoulder, she gave me a shrug before blowing me a kiss. Elliott slipped out into the hallway, closing the door behind her and leaving me alone with Mia in her bedroom.
We pulled up to the restaurant half an hour later. It was a small, quaint little place by theocean, but it always managed to stay busy as it was one of the few places that regularly used freshly caught fish. Finding her mom already seated at a table, Kara and I walked over.
"Hi, mom," Kara greeted as her mother wrapped her up in a hug. "How've you been?"
"Been better," she answered as she walked over to me and gave me a hug as well. "How have my two favorite girls been?"
"School's going well," I answered as I sat down at the table across from her.
"She's also got a boyfriend now," Kara told her with a small smile. Rolling my eyes, Ichuckled as I took a sip of my water.
"Really? I'm so happy for you, El," her mother told me as she reached over and squeezed my hand.
"Thanks," I replied sheepishly. "Have you met Benjamin yet?"
"Plenty of times now, actually," she informed me with a smile. "He's such a great guy."
