Kara chuckled as the two men huffed but fell silent, both of them leaning against their designated golf carts. Elliott took a deep breath before getting back into position. With one swift swing, she watched as the ball sailed into the hole. She spun around with an enormous grin plastered on her face, her eyes staying connected with Cooper’s.
He shrugged, a smile threatening to pull at his lips. “You’d think I’d be upset, but if I was going to lose to anyone, I’m glad it was you.”
“I will happily beat you at anything, any day of the week,” she responded as he walked over, his hands resting on her hips as he pulled her against him. Her hands went to his shoulders as she stared up at him.
“What about laser tag?”

The four of them slipped into their vests, attaching the clips in the front and tightening them to their liking. Elliott reached for the gun that was attached to the vest, reading the name that was on the small screen.
“Hurricane? Really?” She asked as she turned to Cooper, waving her gun slightly. “Little on the nose, don’t you think?”
“Mine says ‘Hulk’,” Cooper said as he sidled up next to her. He wrapped his free arm around her shoulders and whispered, “I’d say mine is pretty on the nose, too, no?”
Benjamin made a gagging sound, causing their eyes to drift over to him. “You two are insufferable. Let’s just get in there.”
“Seems like someone must have gotten ‘Elf’,” Cooper joked, causing both Elliott and Kara to laugh loudly. Benjamin rolled his eyes before walking into the room, the loud music reaching their ears.
The attendant waited by the door as Kara ran in after her man, the lights in the arena shutting off so only the glow of the black lights was visible. Cooper put his hand on Elliott’s lower back, pushing forward.
Once she was inside and the doors closed behind her, she immediately went running around the randomly placed walls, searching for a ramp as she ran upstairs and hid in the corner. All four of them had dispersed as the countdown started, small numbers lighting up the little screens on their guns.
Elliott jumped up, looking through the small window of the wall she was hiding behind as she watched down below for anyone walking on by. It didn’t take long for Benjamin to come into view and she aimed for the plate on his back, sinking back down as his vest went from blue to white to signify she had hit him.
She bent down, staying low as she maneuvered her way over to another wall. With no window available, Elliott had to lean around the corner and up over the wall to see anything down below. As she was watching, her vest suddenly turned white, and she glanced around in surprise before she saw Kara tearing off in the opposite direction as she laughed.
Meanwhile, Cooper was hidden down below, a small fake front end of a car being his protection. He was kneeling down on one knee, scanning the area as he tried to listen for footsteps over the loud sound of the music echoing throughout the large space.
He heard someone running down the ramp that wasn’t too far off to this right and he spun in the direction, gun aimed as he waited. Kara suddenly came around the corner, oblivious to his presence, and he took fire. She stopped mid run and glanced down at her vest before she finally saw him perched there.
Cooper jumped to his feet and took off in search of a new hiding place. He halted as he approached the ramp on the opposite side of the arena, looking upwards and glimpsing Elliott as she slinked off in search of a new spot. A smile came to his face as he took off after her, trying his best to be quiet.
Elliott had found two walls that were connected in an L shape that had a small gap against the railing to look down at her unsuspecting opponents. She was slightly bent down, her gun resting on the ledge as she waited.
Just as Benjamin came into view, her vest suddenly turned white and she stood up in surprise. Before her eyes could adjust, she found herself pinned against the wall as Cooper stood before her.
“I thought I’d find you here,” he whispered, his mouth pressed against her ear. “Seems you don’t always win, do you?”
“I beg to differ,” she retorted, her hands grasping either side of his vest as she pulled him back to look into his eyes. “I think you distracting me this way is the only way you know I won’t win.”
Cooper chuckled softly, dipping his head to place soft kisses on her neck. “Or maybe I just couldn’t go another second without kissing you.”
“Or maybe you just like to cheat,” she teased, trying to fight the urge to grasp his face and connect their lips together. “You’re a sore loser, Cooper Hearst.”
“And you’re a sore winner,” he said, pulling back so their lips were almost grazing each other. “Maybe there’s a way we could both win this little competition.”
Elliott hummed, maintaining eye contact. “And how is that?”
Cooper suddenly closed the space between them, pressing their lips together in a passionate kiss as he pinned her roughly against the wall. She didn’t hesitate as she kissed him back, her hands immediately finding their way into his hair as she fisted it roughly.
She did not know what had come over him, but she didn’t much care. She had been waiting for him to take her somewhere that the chances of them being caught was a strong likelihood. Ever since the beach, she wanted to chase that feeling—the desperate need of wanting someone without a care of the consequences.
He dipped his head back to her neck, kissing and biting the sensitive skin below her ear before nibbling on her earlobe. Cooper’s hand suddenly came into contact with the waistband of her leggings. Before she could utter a word, make a move herself, his hand slipped into her pants and under her panties.
His lips came back to hers as he slipped one of his fingers inside her pussy, the kiss stifling her moan. He added a finger, increasing his speed as he used his palm to rub against her clit. Elliott’s back arched as she moved her hips, trying to create more friction.
One of her hands reached for his waist, following the zipper down to the bulge that was pressing there. He groaned into her mouth, pulling back to rest their foreheads together. They eyed one another, his fingers slowing as she carefully palmed him through his jeans.
