Elliott reapplied her lipstick, slipping the cap back on before she placed it back in his pocket. She carefully wiped off the lipstick she had left on his mouth as he put the mirror back in the small pocket of his suit pants. He brought a hand up and pushed some of the hair that had fallen out of her updo behind her ear before he extended his arm out for her to link her own through.
“Let’s get this over with,” he said as he pulled the door open and leaned down to whisper in her ear. “I can’t wait to see what this dress looks like on the floor.”

The banquet ended up lasting two and a half hours, a good handful of speeches after they had all finished dinner—most from the coaches, but Cooper as well. Being the senior captain, it was normal for them to speak at the pre-end of the year state banquet.
He had looked at her for most of his speech, a small smile on his face as thanked everyone who had supported him, and even called her out by name. That moment alone was enough to make Elliott fall for him, but she was trying her damndest not to.
She was currently sitting at a table by herself, waiting for her man to come back from talking with his coaches. She absentmindedly ran her finger along the rim of her empty glass, staring at nothing in particular as the scattered hum of conversation from the few people that remained echoed through the space.
The chair next to her was suddenly pulled out, grabbing her attention. She looked up and expected it to be Cooper, but Brad stood there with a coy look before he fell into the seat. He lazily leaned back, folding his arms over his chest as his legs were straight out in front of him, crossed at the ankles.
“I’ve seen you around the house a few times,” he said, breaking the silence. “It’s nice to finally get you alone, though.”
“What made you think I was alone?” She asked, letting her hand fall from her glass to lie folded together on the table.
Brad laughed softly, shaking his head before it tilted slightly. “I don’t see him around at the moment, so I’d say you were alone. Which means it’s the perfect opportunity for me to ask you something.”
“And why do you believe you can?” she wondered, resting her chin in her hand. “I don’t recall saying I wanted company, nor your questions.”
“I’m going to ask you anyway,” he responded, leaning forward to rest an arm on the table so they were only a few inches apart. “When are you going to drop him and give me a shot?”
Elliott’s eyes narrowed slightly, turned-off by his desperation. “Even if I did plan on breaking this thing off with Cooper, which I don’t, you wouldn’t be my first choice.”
“Then what was that banter earlier?” Brad asked, taken aback and offended. “You can’t tell me that was all an act.”
“Here’s the thing about Cooper,” she told him, a sly smile gracing her lipstick stained mouth. “He’s what some would call… dominant. The type of man who doesn’t like when another man looks at his woman. And do you know what that means for me?”
Brad’s eyebrows furrowed as he shook his head no. “That means, when I challenge him, or give another man any type of attention, he likes to show me who I belong to. And here’s the thing about me.” She leaned forward, getting so close that their noses were almost touching—and she spotted Cooper approaching them from over his shoulder. “I love when he fucks me like he owns me.”
“Are you okay, babe?” Cooper asked as he stopped behind Brad, eyeing her over his head. She slowly sat back in her chair, running her tongue along her lips as she shrugged. His hand slapped roughly down onto Brad’s shoulder, causing him to jump before he glanced up at him. “I think you should go.”
“Perhaps I should,” he responded, standing abruptly as he stiffly turned around. He pulled at the front of his suit coat roughly, glancing back at Elliott before reconnecting his eyes with Cooper’s. “Good luck with your handful.”
A laugh slipped past Elliott’s lips, causing both men to look at her. “It takes a powerful personality to handle me, baby. It appears you ain’t got one.”
“Thankfully, I do,” Cooper responded as he stepped around Brad and moved to stand behind her chair, placing a possessive hand on her shoulder. “So your services won’t be needed, Brad. I’d appreciate it if you’d remember that for future reference.”
Elliott placed her hand over his, looking over at his teammate. “We’ll see you later, Brad. Or not.”
He looked at the two of them with a dumbfounded expression, not sure what had just happened over the last two minutes. As soon as he was out of sight, Cooper’s hand wrapped around her neck from behind and he bent down to whisper in her ear.
“I thought we agreed you’d behave,” he said, his breath hot on her ear and causing her own to hitch in her throat. “You know what talking to men like him gets you.”
“It gets me fucked,” she whispered, the lust clear in her voice.
He bit her earlobe before placing a kiss to the side of her neck, trailing them to her bare shoulder. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were trying to piss me off.”
“And if I was?”
Cooper suddenly appeared in front of her, bending over and yanking her up to her feet. Before she could react, he had hiked her up over his shoulder and carried her out of the banquet hall. She squealed in surprise, her hands grasping his back as he walked with purpose.
“You are to do everything I say,” he told her as they slipped out of the banquet hall. Instead of heading towards the front door, he took a right, heading down a side hallway. “You are to take your punishment like the good girl you are, and spread your legs when I tell you to. Do you understand?”
“Yes, sir,” she answered. He suddenly put her down, her front sliding down his as she stumbled slightly upon her heels coming into contact with the carpet.
He grabbed her face and kissed her passionately. “I think it’s time I show you the consequences of your actions.”
