"I'd love to hear what you'd come up with," laughed Dark Eyes. "That tongue of yours cuts straight to thepoint."
The alcohol must have hit me right at that moment because I suddenly realized I was actually having a conversation with these men. They formed a semicircle around me, regarding me with more curiosity now than hunger. Maybe it was just my lowered inhibitions but I didn't feel threatened or objectified anymore. Instead, it felt nice talking to new people who weren't customers in myshop.
"What are your names? I keep thinking of you in terms of eye colors," Iblurted.
"Our name is legion, for we are many," said Green Eyes in a low, eerietone.
I blinked. "What?"
"Nevermind him," grinned Dark Eyes. "I'mRaum."
"Sal," said Green Eyes with awink.
"I'm Ash," said Blue Eyes, raising his drink slightly. "And youare?"
"Deja," I answered. "So how do you guys knowMyranda?"
"Who?" askedSal.
I couldn't tell if he was serious orjoking.
"Myranda, the owner of this shop?" I said teasingly. "The host of this party? Come on, Sal. Something tells me you're smarter thanthat."
"We may or may not be crashing this party." Ash's face was serious but his eyes weremischievous.
"Oh. Well, whatever. It's open to the public anyway," Isaid.
"Although we did come here for a very specific reason." Raum watched me carefully as he spoke, a grin spreading across hisface.
"Yeah, what's that?" I asked. "To check out girls' asses without an ounce oftact?"
"Actually no, not this time," Sal chuckled. "We came to pay respect to our Lord andSavior."
"And who might that be?" I cocked aneyebrow.
All three of them pointed upward. My gaze followed their fingers up to the black goat's head mounted on the wall, whose glassy eyes seemed to be looking down at me with the same mischief as the three men standingbelow.
What. The.Fuck.
"Okay then." I forced a smile. "Nice talking to youall."
I quickly turned on my heel and sped away as fast as my feet could carryme.

A pair of fingers suddenly snapped in my face and jolted me out of mydaydream.
