He grinned. "It roughly translates to, 'The Prophecy of the Witch'.”

DEJA
Our new plan for Diana was relatively straightforward.
We would all anchor back to San Francisco, but only Seth and I would go directly to her. The others would stand by as backup and only show when I had her subdued. No one wanted to miss witnessing her death. Perhaps that was morbid but these were demons after all.
Ash spent the next few hours researching blood spells and felt confident she didn't have another angel's kiss that would target me like a homing missile. Still, there was everyone else we had to worry about.
"Who knows how many angel-kissed weapons she has though?" Sal asked worriedly. "Each of those elite hunters who ambushed us had one, which none of us had seen before. For all we know, Diana might be sitting on a stockpile."
"That's true." Ash rubbed his forehead. "I'm extremely curious to know how she got as many as she did. What kind of deal did she have to make?"
"Selling her soul?" I suggested only half-jokingly. "And those of the coven too. I bet the angels love the idea of having witches under control to spread their gospel."
"It's a conspiracy!" Raum shouted dramatically. "They told everyone demons make deals for souls but it was the angels all along!"
Everyone rolled their eyes but my giggle sent his chest puffing out like a proud peacock.
"It's not a huge stretch, actually," Seth pointed out. "While the blood magic certainly had a hand in reversing her aging, whatever deal she made for the angel's kisses may have accelerated the process."
"She definitely got a lot crazier in a short amount of time," I remarked.
It almost made me feel sorry for Diana. What happened when she was young to make her this way? Lots of witches of her generation disliked demons but she took it to another level. She got so wrapped up in her hatred that it defined her life and made her kill her own daughter.
But in the end, it didn't matter. I couldn't go back and undo whatever damage had been done that set her on this path. She made decisions that had dire consequences. I'd take no pleasure in killing her, I learned that from Juno. But it had to be done and I had to be the one to do it.
"Let's get this over with," I muttered as I stood and dusted off my pants. The sooner I didn't have my grandmother to worry about, the sooner we could do what I really wanted, start creatingVoluspa.
Seth followed me up, wrapping his arms around me from behind and dropped a reassuring kiss on my neck. My breath hitched and my heart rate doubled. Already he was comfortable doing this in front of everyone else and I fucking loved it.
"We'll get it right this time, sweetheart," he murmured. "I know we will."
"Fucking hell, I hope so," I sighed. "I'm just so tired of this shit."
Ash walked up to us and I felt Seth's grip on me tighten. I didn't tell him yet about Ash's preference to have me alone, but Ash cupped my face and kissed me as if Seth wasn't there. My body hummed with response at having their two sets of hands on me. When Seth's lips grazed across my nape at the same time, I became damn near delirious with pleasure.
"He's right, my love." Ash's voice grazed across my lips. "We have the upper hand this time. As long as we have you, we got this."
He cut off my response with another kiss and behind me, Seth grew bolder. He nipped the sensitive skin on my shoulder just like he did out at the woods, eliciting a sharp hiss of pleasure from me. Ash's tongue playfully flicked over mine and he stepped in closer, allowing me to feel the growing, hardening bulge in his jeans.
Behind me, Seth's erection pressed against my ass. His lips skimmed up my neck while Ash kissed a hot trail down the other side. I was so drunk on pleasure, I felt like I was drowning. This was so out of character for Ash, I was stunned stupid. But his pulsing hard-on against my hip told me this was really happening, and not only that, he enjoyed it.
"As hot as this is to watch," Raum cleared his throat. "Deja did say she wanted to get this over with." He grinned shamelessly and his voice grew husky. "Maybe we canallcelebrate when this is over."
The way he stretched the word all was not lost on me, nor Ash.
"Who knows? After everything we've been through, I might be convinced." Ash winked as he stepped away and my legs became so wobbly I would have collapsed had I not been leaning back on Seth.
Now Ireallywanted to get this over with.

"This is where you stayed, huh?"
I looked around Seth's studio apartment. Visually, it wasn't much to look at. The walls and floor were completely bare. The only furniture pieces were a blanket-covered mattress pushed into a corner and a small writing desk. On the desk laid a thick, leather bound journal which could only be a grimoire with how much magic I sensed wrapped around it.
